Right? It looks lazy to me, like a mash-up of the 3G STI and 4G Impreza sedan. It'll most likely perform better, but they just keep looking worse and worse.

Someone sticker bombed their 2013 Impreza with volcom stickers and put an STi spoiler on it. Looks like crap.

Now that you say that, it DOES look like a bro let loose on an Impreza.

I hope it's not quite that bland, it does look like a mix between an Evo X and a new impreza. On the plus side it would make me feel better about my car.
Why wouldn't they just leave the spoiler off for a test car?

Davin, they went out on the Nürburgring with this car around the same time. I'm sure they wanted the wing for the full package for testing purposes.

Is there anyone else who is ready for that rear wing to go away... and I'm sure glad they pulled the current impreza mirrors out of the parts bin and slapped them on there.

Not sure why some people seemed surprised? Everyone knew the production model wouldn't even come close to the concept release. It pretty much never does and if anything it would be closer to an STi package.

Personally I'm a fan of the 05 generation and earlier, however, this model to me is a much better step up to the releases within the last 4 years or so. Seriously the ugliest front ends I've ever seen and the non-wide bodies are just terrible. Absolutely boring.

The only reason people are surprised is there was a lot of talk about the WRX being separated from the Impreza line to make it more performance oriented. Some Subaru exec also said to have high expectations for it. Add in the 3 year delay for the WRX redesign vs the base Impreza and it actually seemed like they could have been up to something. Nope.

Oh, no. You're confused. I meant that ever since they've showed up in America they've gotten worse and worse:

Stock USDM WRX is still the ugliest thing since the new Impreza's door mirrors.

Being that the Impreza is a world car, pretty sure the "original model" would have been the 93 WRX in Japan. Subsequently that's the best generation ever.
