Nice video. I like the guys at Drive Auto Sports who also did a nice job on my 2003 WRX Wagon.

Nice video, an STI commuter car isn't the worst idea in the world. I'd be lying if I said I love stop and go traffic in my hatch. Is this going to be a daily that you'll continue to use? Or are you planning to track it once you get the bigger turbo etc.

As for "what would you do with a spare WRX," my answer is I'm currently in the process of turning an almost 17 year old bug eye into a drift car. I had some similar engine issues with spark plugs and old cracked hoses, but now it's running strong. I'm just saving some money to get the diffs welded to go rear wheel drive. I know it's been done before, and I know there's better drift car options, but I like the subaru platform and am excited to slide this thing around when events start.

Keep us posted with more videos. I'll keep an eye out.

It's going to remain a street car. I don't think it makes a lot of sense to make a 4EAT a track setup. It will be treated kind of like a daily, though we almost always have manufacturer demo cars to drive here at the office, so it won't be driven much outside of for the series.

I remember that L'Estage used to drift a 2006 STI in the Formula Drift series. He'd take out the front axles, go drifting, then the following week he'd be rallying the same car with AWD. Such great cars, I don't see why the bigeye wouldn't make a great drifter.

This car reminds me of my 2004 Subaru WRX I use to own. It was the first car I ever owned. It's how I learned to drive manual.

Just picked up one for a daily (My other ride is a 17 RS which is fun as heck to drive!) Put a stage 2+ on it and it seems to do great! (Cobb intake, invida turbo back exhaust with downpipe catted and no bung up pipe with resistor fix) cobb boost control and tuner and usual cosmetic touches.....78 k miles, (older gentleman owned it and kept it unmolested). Does your STI clone have a torque converter installed? what do you recommend I do next?
Thanks!
