I am trying to get it painted ASAP. Seeing as the motors out of it, it's a perfect time to paint the bay too. But I need to sell my advans to help fund the paint job. and I'll get some pics in the garage tonight. It was a pita to push it back in the garage last night. Haha.

You're keeping the centers white or making them gold or another flashy color? White seems out of place on your car. Don't take that the wrong way though. I can't believe you got those to fit though.

Gonna stay white for now. I may get tired of the white, but for now I like it. Lol. And it's taken quite a bit of work this far to make em fit. It rolls now but I wouldn't drive on it as it sits. Needs some more clearance on the widebody. The fronts just need a little pull on the fenders and they'll be perfect.

Hmm. Never thought of that color. Maybe add some FedEx purple in it to darken?

Thoughts on spraying the windshield wiper arms gloss black instead of flat? Half the paint is off of mine anyway and I thought about removing them for a little spring spruce up.

Def use a low or semigloss. I used a low gloss. They look better than new OEM.

Just be sure to take your time on the prep. Any imperfections will stare you in the face when you're done. :-)

Alright my fellow bueye-ians?
The bank gave me $3k for parts to fix my car (long discussion a few pages back) this is a small chunk more than I had budgeted for so I'm . obviously I'm going to try and keep some for unforeseen problems, but my decision I need to make is this:
the car came with a VF34 (havent taken it off to verify, but it is noticebly larger than a TD04)
but the engine is still on the stock fuel system
I have a TD04 in my possession
I have budgeted/planned for a wally 255LPH pump already

Do I throw the TD on? Or also get some injectors and run the VF?

I'd verify if its a vf34 first. Second. What was broke on the car that needed fixing? Is it turbo related? Third. I'd get larger injectors if you're running stock injectors on a vf34 for sure. I'd look into DeatschWerks injectors and a upgraded fuel pump along side a tune. You should have a lot more money left over.

Umm I would be doing a compression/ leakdown test on that engine before spending a dime! The little td04 can max out our stock 420cc injectors. If you built ANY boost with a larger turbo on the car you WERE running lean, very lean. Lets hope she's okay so you can continue on with your project.

Thanks for the comments about the wiper arms. I will look into doing this sometime soon.

Nothing is really "broke" its a collection of crappy/Ebay parts. I'm getting a DP, stock BPV, stock intake setup, Venair turbo inlet. I know if I choose to stick with the VF that I would want bigger injectors. I'm asking IF I should. Bearing in mind the car has had a ****ty tune with the VF running 7PSI for at least a few years now, Ive only owned it for 2. Thats why I originally thought to go back to the TD.

Well I had nothing to do with it, but the previous owner had it tuned to 7PSI. and got it "tuned for the stock injectors" obviously I plan on getting it re-tuned by someone who actually does it for a living.
The PO also spun a bearing AND cracked a block running a VF at 20+, replacing NOT rebuilding the engine both times. So the car is on engine at least number 3. So I would HOPE the compression is ok. But yes after I replace all the craptastic parts I will be taking it in to get the health checked out.

Lino, you will want to go vf if you already have it. Just buy some injectors and get it tuned and you will have a car you will love! It will be a significant difference to what your driving now! But make sure the engine will hold upwards of 17lbs of boost.

I see. If you actually have. VF34 then you'll want it to run right. It's a good turbo. Why downgrade to a TD04. I'd definitely look at the compressor housing while its installed still and it should be stamped/etched/scribed with VFxxxxxxxxxx
