Default 05 STI headlights in 05 WRX

Hey guys, searched but can seem to find exactly what I am looking for. If you know a thread, please link!

I am swapping my buddy my WRX headlights for his STI headlights out of his track car. I am going to do levelers and everything. This is a two part question. The first is, are the 05 STI headlights and the 05 WRX headlights plug and play? The second, what all do I need to pull out of the STI for the leveling system? I would assume just the headlights and the switch but want to be sure.

We are doing this in the morning. Thank you guys for your help!

plug and play as long as you swap the harnesses...the sti wiring harness is beefier due to the fact that they're hids and have relays; from what i remember. i ditched the leveling system on my headlights. don't really find it as necessary. but the motor is already on the headlights themselves, you just need the wiring again.

but it doesn't take a genious to figure out the wiring as it is pretty basic.

simple swap, just be careful when you pull the headlights out to keep the white tabs in 1 piece.

Awesome, thank you kind sir

On the subject of swapping the harnesses, what would go into doing this? Does the harness just unplug, or does it need to be cut and re-wired?

Not done yet. Waiting until I have some definitive answer before I start cutting wiring on 2 cars
