Are there any DIY independent fog lights write ups yet for 2012 impreza sports?
I know I might get flame on for this one but I just want to know if there's any write ups yet to do an independent fog lights for a 2012 impreza sports premium. I have a 3000k HID on it and I hate it when I need to flash the high beam to signal people, It turns off and on which I know its not good for the HID bulbs. I know this option is not everybody's cup of tea but it is for me.

I'm looking to do the same thing on my Sport Limited, since I have the fog switch on the stalk I have a feeling I'll have to do some more testing in tighter locations versus those who have the button for optional fog add ons.

Mine's the same. Its not a button but a switch next to the headlight.

For Imprezas that have the fog lights added as an optional accessory, I believe the fog light switch is located in a different place. |

Did you have to modify the covers for that tight of a fit? Any howdy to my neighbor to the North, I'm only 20 mins from Sturbridge. I drew up a wiring circuit for independent low beams for HIDs for another member, I'll do the same for independent fogs. Is it ok if they're controlled by the parking lights? |

Any issues with an HID kit throwing codes/melting anything?
Otherwise I may got with a nokya yellow bulb or something... Anyone know what the factory fog light bulb is, the dealer installed version. Is it 9006? |

I have no issues with HID on my retrofitted fogs. What year car are you asking about is for the stock bulbs? For my 2012 Impreza, it uses some stupid bulbs labeled PSX24W.

http://www.amazon.com/PSX24W-Light-Replacement-Bulbs-White/dp/B006FYI5WU The reviews on Amazon seem to suggest that they don't throw much more light than the OEM bulbs. Do you agree? |

Check at the fog harness with a multimeter, see if they are ground switched or 12v switched, if they're ground switched, all you'll have to do is tap the wire and ground it.

how's the beam pattern? I recall reading somewhere that on newer imprezas, removing the shield inside the fog light projector actually improves light throw and cuts glare. Got to find the source...
