Drape something over back and place the front of the kayak on the car, slide it onto the rack.

Or build a SOF kayak

Should be easier with a lower vehicle. Place the boat on the other side where there is no kayak feet and use the tail or rear to swing it around on the kayak racks.

2013 Impreza Sport with roof rails.

I purchased a Thule SnowCat. Has anyone been able to put on a 44" Thule Fairing on it?

Ive seen photos of 38" thule fairings on a snowcat, but not a 44". Apparently Thule does not say these are compatible.

Anyone have this set up and can post pics?

Thanks.

The 44" is to wide, it will go over your roof rails. I had a 44" from my previous car, but sold it and purchased a 38" to fit correctly between the roof rails.

Anyone have a ski rack on their Subaru (non-sport) roof rack? Looking to purchase one. Also, how safe are the ski racks from theft generally?

I have a Thule rack for snowboarding, however it has another use! But unfortunately easy to steal for a motivated thief (about 20 minutes to remove). Sorry my English is poor.

Looks nice, keeping yourself busy during the lockout.

Here are some pics of my roof rack finally complete. Thanks to @kylepreza for the tips of the longer bolts, definitely the way to go.

Here's my Sport Limited with factory aerobars and Yakima Fat Cat 6 installed today.

Please note, that I've owned the Fat Cats for a long time and I do not really like them. While they are really nice looking, sleek and low profile, they are a massive pain to install, don't clamp down easily, and things seem to break on them quickly.

I bought an INNO Rail Slider II ski carrier, but it does not fit the rear aerobar. The attachments are too wide for the factory bars.

Just as I came across an old Google cached Prorack Whispbar page showing which Whispbar Flush would fit a 2.0i 5-door, Yakima updated their fit guide (finally). So just fyi, for 2.0i 5-door owners, if you want the Whispbar flush, get the the S26. I'm hoping to get mine this weekend. I'll post photos after the install.

Default rails look good

Anyone know if the rails shown on some of the later model Impreza (Sports?) could be fitted to a late model WRX. I noticed most/all of the WRX pictures they show four feet supporting cross bars - but I kind of like the look of the rails and was interested to know if there was any reason they wouldn't fit.

well, they are a full pain in the ass to remove. there are special attachments for the rail to bolt down to. i doubt they would fit. but you never know.

edit: now seeing that the outback sport didnt have them for a long time or hasn't been offered for quite some time, leads me to believe, no they will not fit.

@mckinnon99879 I have the Inno Fairing which has a very convenient set of knobs to adjust the angle of it. But I see the one you have has something similar:

the inno roof rack will fit the 2012 impreza wrx, if you have the built in c-track rails on your roof like the wrx does, then you can buy the inno set up. they bolt directly onto the roof. check out ors racks direct, they have a fitment guide for all the major brands. check them out, u can find a rack for it.

the inno-sr racks will attach to th einside of the door jam. check them out. i just installed mine, will post pics for u tomorrow if you're interested

I fit thule 47" Aerobars onto my sport limited no problem just mount it back a few inches from the start of the factory beams, also added the 4 snowboard thule flat top board rack. My only gripe is the way the flat top rack mounts, it stands up pretty high off the bars. I've found a work around to put some T-bolts right into the open channels on the aero bar.
