Default 2.5 hybrid swap...smoke...turbo??? wtf!

ok, here's the quick end of it...

blew my 2.0, put new 2.5 in, smoke issue instantly thereafter.

what the deal? bad head job/valve seal(cut @255, new guides too), turbo seal(used 39), or neither?

smokes blueish at idle after warm-up. when the light turns green, i go, smoke goes too...not noticeable. if it smoked like at idle...i see it driving, trust. burning a little less then a quart per 1000miles.

I WAS leaning towards turbo seal, but i disconnected the DP and saw ZERO residue, that mean anything? turbo used to see synthetic, not now though. mean anything?

have noticed dampness at turbo's oil return line(crap gasket) also near the clamp....
compression test on new block(haha) is ok.
catch cans installed...no collection and yes they are done right.
car has been to the tuner who made a minor change before pulling me off the dyno(301whp, 363wtq w00t!).
block ran its first 1100 miles on 2.0 meth tune(didn't boost) with tuners OK
relevant mod list on 04 wrx wagon..invidia TBE, 565 inj, walbro, 39, big tmic, meth, cleared up, catch cans, EJ25

please, meaningful help only. i'm here if you need more info.

How long have you been driving around with the blue smoke coming out? It could just be residue in the heads if you drove for about 20mins but more than that and THEN I would worry. Maybe someone didnt install a valve stem seal correctly?

i'm currently at 1900 miles on the block. smoke started the morning of the install and continued since. it's not a "per drive" thing either, makes no difference after warm-up....1/4 mile to 300 miles.

I had blue smoke come out of the exhaust today at idle, but when I started driving it went away (boosting) then when I came to a stop again blue smoke came out. Changed the oil started the car and no smoke came out. Drove home and let it idle after boosting a few times and no smoke came out, it only happened twice. Compression test was done 2 months ago everything was fine, spark plugs changed and protuned. I am the 2nd owner of the car and this happened to the previous owner for a few days and then it disappeared for thousands of miles, and now its back. help please! I have a feeling it is the turbo seal and not the rings since its holding oil and doesnt smoke while driving.

very strange how you're that sporadic.

Sounds like valve guide seals, who did your heads? I'd have them look at it.
