PIAA Super Plasma Fog Light Bulbs
Besides changing the color, which wasn't the point of spending $70 on these, they don't do anything. All they do is change the color from the standard Halogen color to a white, white light. That's it.

Super Plasma is supposed to give you colour change instead of birghtness, which I think it has the nicest colour for halogen bulb. You can't really expect any big performance gain from upgrading halogen bulb.

I wasn't expecting a big performance gain but, I was epecting more than just a color change. For $70 it should have brightened a little more. I know that it wouldn't have made a huge difference but, I would not recomend these if brighter lights is what you're after.

short life
Mine didn’t last long (5-6 months). I always turned off my lights before turning off the car and turned on the car before turning on the lights so there shouldn’t have been any surging. They looked nice for a while, but boy they burn out fast. Now I have Morettes + HID and never need the fogs.
I wouldn’t recommend them. |

you really aren't going to get really bright light on the fogs unless you install an HID kit with the stock lights. that will make it plenty bright, but it will set you back $400 or so.
the only way halogen lights will be brighter is to increase the wattage of the bulb. higher wattage means more heat. the "chrome" part of the fog lights is plastic, and will melt if you use 100w bulbs. 80w bulbs are ok, but stock are 55w so like the original poster said, it's not really a significant difference. |

I like mine a lot... 7 or 8 months and no problems. I carefully cleaned the bulbs with alcohol before installing them, which aids in longevity. (Oil from your hands cause the crystal to crack)
