Alright, I guess tapping the OEM holes to 3/8, using aluminum fittings & having them welded in is the best solution disregarding the fact that it is more effort & more money? This is a certain leak free setup that will last the lifetime of the valve cover.

^ true. If you have the tools/capability, drill and weld a $6 aluminum AN fitting on there and be done.

Just don't see a issue with leaking as the factory stuff is just pressed in. Can't wait for my set to come. Hate to see you stop making your great products your type of stuff is what really gets me excited still about mods. Hope the best for you.

I dunno, I guess I'm just overly cautious & am building my car for lots of revving and high pressure I would feel better knowing I never had to worry about it even being a thought. I'm sure most cases though that the way you're doing it is just fine, I like go overkill sometimes in areas such as this. Lol, why the hell is AN so much more expensive than NPT? I didn't even realize the price difference, once is sealing with the threads and one is sealing with a o-ring? Is that why?? I'm sure NPT will seal good enough & you can get braided lines for both, when is a situation better to call for AN or is it just a bling thing?

NPT will put more stress on the part you're threading into because of the taper of the NPT fitting and it's threads. If the strength of the part is suspect like the valve cover then I would go with the AN vs NPT. The block would not matter as much but I think there is more options for AN lines and fittings.

I missed the NPT part... but if you can weld, just do that. Aluminum AN fittings (weld-ons) are cheap.

Ok thanks guys. I don't weld very pretty haha so I'll have some friends do it. It won't be for a while anyways but this is good info to learn before hand

Some temporary bracketry to force Perrin's AOS to fit under my hood. Its so nice they can't provide a simple bracket to make it work with 93-01 imprezas. I'm hoping to make a more rigid simplified bracket in the near future. I needed to get it installed and get a bearing on my blowby issue.

I noticed this morning the perrin check valve started whistling at idle, like a tiny supercharger. At first I thought the turbo was about to have issues then was relieved to find out it was just the check valve. I've read on iwsti that perrin was working on a solution and that they were also sending out a barbed fitting that allows you to screw the oem pcv into it and use it inline instead of the plastic check valve. I may go that route or just buy a better check valve.
