Default My Build, with dyno results

OK guys and gals, this is the start of my project/build thread. Today (saturday) I spent all day at TopSpeed in GA, watching STi's get tuned at 300-360 whp, a Spec C wrx dyno, and then saw a Supra with 712 RWHP!!! I also got my car dyno'd. I have many pics to post, but I am so tired as I have been up since 5:30am, and just now got back!

I will post my dyno sheet as soon as TopSpeed emails it to me, and the pics and vids will be up soon too.

right now the car has COBB Stage 2, with COBB Equal Length Headers, Hiflow cat, catback, sonin light weight pulley. You have got to see my torque curve, it is amazing. I had the WRX/STi guys saying that I had alot of power for an RS.

Starting Sunday (later today), I will be taking the engine out, putting in an Exedy Single Plate Organic Clutch, Exedy Light Weight 12.8lbs chromoly flywheel, cometic .027" head gasket, and having Delta do my cams. I should have it all done by Friday.... Hopefully. I am also doing new plugs, pcv valve, fuel filter, all new gaskets and seals, hopefully nology wires, and pro ecm piggyback.

Stay tuned, this will be great!!!

Default Update

OK, I still havent recieved the email with my dyno sheet, but should have it soon.

The RS put down 142 whp, and 158 ft/lbs wtq!!! I am VERY happy with these numbers. These are right inline with the numbers I had with my pda tool. Porter said that their dyno reads lower than other Dynojets.

Here are some pics/vids:
my RS dyno vid

I have many more pics and vids of the other cars, but I will post them in the SE forum later. Keep watching for the dyno sheet.

when i got my rs dynoed, i ran 101hp and 109 tq at the wheels with zero boost on the sc, so that pretty close to what a stock rs would be. nice numbers tho, especially for n/a- IC

A stock 02 impreza on a mustang dyno did 120. but between 110-122 is normal for stock.

THanks.

well we got the engine out. The parts are laying in my garage. We couldnt get the damn light weight pulley off, so we took the clutch, flywheel, and intake manifold off the block, and Will took the block with him so he could get it off. He is then going to send the cams to delta. So we are still on track. We had the enigine out in 3 hours. I have some pics, but I am at home on spring break and on 56k

I assume the head gasket will raise you compression a little bit? What is it now and what will it be?

It would be very cool if you could get close to 200whp NA. The car must be real fun to drive.

yeah the HG will raise it slightly. Right not it is 10:1, it will riase it to maybe 10.5:1.

The car is a blast to drive, the torque is amazing. I had my friend drive it yesterday, I hadnt been a passanger before, and man it feels more powerful as a passanger. WHen he shifted from 1st to 2nd, it slung me back pretty good. of course not near as good asa my friends Type RA Spec C WRX with 333 whp.

probably not. Just costs too much, for little effects. I am pursuing other options as well.
