^this... If you inspect you radiator and hoses thoroughly and they check out, no reason to replace them when a proper flush will keep you operating smoothly. |

Just bought a Forester last night with 80k on the clock. Great write-up, going to be putting it to very good use in the coming weeks/months.

The key is to do this maintenance over time so that the bills and work are more spaced out and more bearable.

measure the thickness of original rotors. If less than the value stamped on them, replace.

126K.
Fortunately, I have already done many of the items listed. Unfortunately, I have not done many of the items listed. Turbo inlet being one of them. Yes...I think (well....I know) I have an air leak. Faint, tiny, almost squeak like whistle under boost. Faint enough for me to ignore......at least until reading this post. I've done everything to my car myself (susp, turbo, inj....etc...) but for some reason the t-inlet has me intimidated. Pitch stop and engine mounts are close behind in necessity... |

Fortunately no cel's and no noticeable power loss, but I'm sure that's not far down the road.

Timing belt and related items @ 105k miles <OR> 105 months, whichever comes first.
I, along with two friends, did mine at 100 months (and only 77k miles). |

For example I did my springs and struts at 80k even though they had life. Got the cost done before I did timing belt. I had to do my TB based on time not miles, only have 108k after 12 years. My stock radiator still looks good. That's likely my next thing. |

Living in a climate that's so harsh, we have to get stuff done so much faster. Starting a car in -36C does not make any suby happy. The temperature swings don't help either, in the morning we are -20C and by noon we are +10C, silly Chinooks.

Thanks again, as my 06 WRX has 200k on it now and I am the original owner, Ive been wondering what I should look at that I have otherwise overlooked. Thanks for the reminder on the MAF and the BCS. Those may be a missing link or two of mine.
