Default My first detail! 04 jbp sti lot of pics.

So I finally decided to detail my car while I had the day off for thanksgiving. The car looked really good to begin with but under lights you could see all the swirls and defects. I usually wash my car about once a week so it stays pretty clean.

So I bought a porter cable and some pads for Detailers domain and began to get start on my first detail.

Dawn dish soap
megs clay bar kit.
megs 105 and 205
colinite 845 2 coats

I used 205 with a uber green pad on most of the car and 105 with a yellow pad on some of the problem spots like on the trunk where i debadged the subaru emblem.

Nice work! Its too bad JBP is so soft...I had a 04 WRX and it was a nightmare to maintain, granted my car sat outside.

Nice...next time use some Denase Wet Glaze, the fleck in the paint will amaze you, I didn't realize WRB has so much fleck till I used this, and when the sun hits it, it really, really pops.

I just used a wheel brush I got from walmart and some car wash soap. They were already waxed and prepared for winter as they are my winter set of wheels.

You should use a tripod to take the pictures, you will notice a huge improvement in picture quality. Looks like a nice first job.
