Default Window Tinting advice, in WA

Hello NWICer's, I have a simple question. Does anyone know of a good place to get window tinting done? I'm not worried about price, I'm more worried about quality/warranty. I don't want it to bubble or peel. I have a 2007 STi, completely stock and I feel like I'm naked without tint. I had a 2002 WRX before this car and I had it tinted in Hawaii when I first got it.

I've heard SRP was a good place to go but they are down to only being open on Saturday's only now. I was thinking VTR but it's a really far drive for me ~~~> Kent, WA.

So if anyone has some personal good experiences getting their Suby tinted and can recommend a place for me I would love to hear it. TY!

Really? I talked to one of the guys there and he seems really down to earth, gave me some advice about getting +18% tint and how they have been really understaffed so that's the reason for their "Saturday" only business time. They quoted me $220 + tax, but I just don't want to get tint by a company that might be going out of business...

Seriously, please search.....

Most people will say VTR if your up North or SRP if your in South Sound-ish.

I got mine done at SRP and couldn't of asked for a better job, their **** is computer cut. :3

And I didn't know they are going out of business

It's mainly like that (saturdays) im assuming because they started as a tinting company and do subaru parts and since they take time with their cars they don't want to try to squeeze in everybody so basically it's apt. only, and it's ALWAYS been like that, but the doors are usually open, even their sign from 2 years ago on the door says "by appointment"

+123456789 for SRP + VTR.

Like we said on the phone, "We are not going out of business". We've been in business for over 3 years, and have been tinting for over 16 years. Believe me, SRP will be around for a long long time .

If you need it done during the week, just ask. Saturdays are optimal, but we can make special arrangements like we have been doing lately to meet whoever in the morning hours when needed.

Thank you, hope to hear from you soon.

Hey Dave, left a voice message on the SRP line a couple of days ago don't know if you got it yet. Would you be willing to make a special Thursday or Friday appointment? Let me know, I left my name/number on the message. Didn't know where to find you on the forums and I knew that making this post will bring you out ! Hit me up.

I had my '08 wrx done at Midnight on Aurora, pretty good job. They are open 7 days a week, and stand behind their work regardless of how dark you go.

Price wise they are right on par with most everyone, they offer a lower quality less expensive film, and a higher quality lifetime film with a better cut for a few more $$$.

Otherwise, if price is no object, take a look at Mr. Tint, Bellevue Auto Tint and Jay's tint in Kirkland are all highly rated shops.

dave is alive?? damn where you been at? i left you like 2 msgs that never got returned man... sorry.. couldnt wait for tint any longer and i thought it must be cuz you weren't going to be able to accomidate non-saturday... so I already made an appointment w/ VTR for Friday.
BUT you say you are down in Kent.. so I would recommend having Dave do it @ SRP. Dave did my last tint and did a great job, 1 year in i had no bubbles no peeling the tint was perfect and looked great. Can't say enough good things..
VTR I will have a review after Friday..

I've had several cars tinted by Dave and Dean at SRP and have recommended many more, always a happy customer. Top notch shop and they are true car enthusiasts, I highly recommend them.

SRP rocks. They definitely do a good job, not only tint wise, but very mechanically knowledgable as well.

I would go to Midnight window tinting next to stereo warehouse near 137th and hw99. They have tinted 3 of my cars and all done perfect jobs and they file there edges down as well.

Lifetime warranty and I have yet to have a problem with them.

I got mine done at Acutint in Bellevue same time as my buddys new 335. His came out flawless. Mine had to pretty much be retinted and they had to do the rear window a total of 4 times. Looks great now though, wish I would have gone to VTR since its a much closer drive for me.

^midnight tinted my the 1st time. WORST JOB EVER! They also tried to get out of the lifetime warranty they have simply because the guy who worked there got fired and he was the one who did my tint. Also they took almost 6.5hours on day to tint two windows it was out of control. I had them redo it 3x and the last time they didnt even redo the back window so I had tint that didnt match until VTR finally did it right.

I had my Forester done at Tommy's Window Tinting: http://www.tommyswindowtinting.com/
They did a very nice job. Don't remember exactly what they charged, I think it was on the high side of average, but they came pretty highly recommended so I went with them anyway. I kind of wish I had done the sunroof at the time but it's so massive it probably would have cost extra.
