------- Response to the question -----------------------
  • The Protege5 puts down approx. 220~225whp. Considerably faster than the Mazdaspeed due to the larger turbo plus other supporting mods.

------- Some details -----------------------------------
  • To put the numbers in perspective, it consistantly pulls about a car-and-a-half length ahead of the Cobb Stg II WRX(with uppipe) in 4th - from a rolling start of course. With a good launch it should do about 14.0~14.2 passing with a slightly higher trap then the Cobb Stg II WRX.
  • The Cobb WRX is not in the picture, I will post some later.
  • The Supra is just slightly faster than the Protege - it's neck 'n neck with it 'til mid 3rd then it pulls about 4 cars by the time we reach the end of 4th, thanks to the displacement. ^^

welcome! you weren't perchance driving around greystone drive / Bby mountain golf course area a couple of nights ago were you?

I was tailed by what I thought was a ford explorer, for a small stretch, only to find out at the last minute that it was a white forester. I briefly saw the driver but it was one of those "not-quite-enough-time to wave" scenarios. I was in a wrb bug-eye wagon.

whereabouts in burnaby are you located?

Meets happen occasionally, but are usually small, simple gatherings held in parking lots/parkades etc. perhaps a cruise before/after. Once in awhile, some members take it upon themselves to try to setup "larger" more organized meets (kudos to them ) which are great opportunities to come out to meet/greet.

Also, keep an eye out for the times when the subaru's are "invited" to coincide with other vancouver car club meets.

BTW -- I think Happy_Days is setting up a drag race meet this Fri. I can't make it -- but it sounds great.

Welcome to the club, gotta love the p1's with the polished lip, looks even better when they're spinning.

If it isn't raining, we're going to mission raceway this friday. Details on that thread. =)

Ghostmike, she's really awesome. Its exactly what my car would look like if I bought myself a sedan, except it'd be in a more pale Version 6 Cashmere Yellow. Gorgeous!
