good one

i got cut off the road by some douche passing a car on a country back road on a solid yellow line. as he came in my lane up a small hill and i came over it i had to swerve and went off the road and into a corn field. police showed up and charged me. the douche who cut me off fled the scene, or rather he never stopped.
on a good note i was not in my subie at that time. i was in a chevy blazer

I dug out my defunct Klipsch Promedia Ultra 5.1 subwoofer from the basement (the BASH chip went bad, a common problem with that system) and gutted all the amps/electronics out of it, wired one of the 8" subs to one of the speaker inputs on the back of the sub box and put it in the trunk.

I had the rear channels on my current Kenwood 4 channel amp free so I bridged them to run to the sub. Very happy with the result. I couldn't run both subs since they were both 6 ohm (odd impedance...) and the amp can only do 4 ohm stable bridged and not 3 ohm as it would have been with both subs wired in parallel. Still, running ~120W (from 180W 4 ohm) to an 8" is not bad at all.

Well a half hour into it the bolt head snapped off on the split for the ball joint. Gotta love the North east cars, lots of rust. Continued with the removal of the control arm, that went fine.

The old bushings aren't the same as the new Whiteline plus bushings (two metal sleeves on the stock one) so I couldn't just drill out the bushing material. I removed the other side control arm and took them down to a shop I was recommended to do the pressing.

They said they were super busy and would get it done tomorrow, great no car until they can do it.
So I got the replacement bolts for the ball joint split. I tried taking off the other side and low and behold it snaps after moving about a half turn.

So I said screw it I will continue tomorrow and extract both bolts and put on the kit on.

I did however get my Ap back from Cobb for black screen of death. I also fixed my sideskirt with some new clips.

/end novel.

Installed my new to me leather and aluminum STI shift knob. It's heavier than the OEM shift knob and feels better. More click clack shifter engagement.

finalizing the BOM for the Time Attack car's new fuel system. Finalizing the four new fuel rails for it a little later today and then off to get cut. Crunch time!

Everyone needs to have eight injectors for 4 cylinders

Continued working on the broken bolts for the ball joints. Killed my battery on my drill, waiting for it to charge up. A friend is supposed to bring one by so I can use it until mine is charged up.

I know this **** was going to happen. This is why I was dreading doin.g this job. Two days now and still not done. Prob going to be finished tomorrow evening.

removed whiteline sway bar, end links and sway bar mount supports to sell tomorrow and reinstalled stockers.
also should be unloading my wheels tomorrow, headlights, taillights, plate delete, steering wheel, short shifter and shift knob.
gotta love when sales work out fast.
just coils, saggy butt spacers and wrx springs left really since the swift springs, sti mufflers and sport mesh grille are spoken for and waiting shipping quotes

Discovered one of the valve cover bolts didn't get tightened all the way after a gasket change. Leaking oil like a bish.

Not happy about that.

Fixed now.
