anyone know how to do diy tgv deletes?

is there anyone around that knows how to do the gutting of a stock tgv delete? for exchange for grub or beers?

....of course it'll be already out of the car. so I just show up with the part and you just take out the flaps and rods then shave of the wall.

I tap the holes and put in a bolt or set screw.

you can bolt/screw it, jb weld it, or buy the kstech weldless kit thingee:

naw I have to do the deletes because a portion of the inlet tube is touching the motor so the manifold won't sit right. so I don't have to shave the walls?

shave the walls? you mean remove the dividers and/or port the tgvs? no, you don't have to. Pull the brass bushings out, drill, tap, put in bolts with a lot of jb-weld.

i did this mod my self and i can say it is a pain in the ass so i would recommend that if you have no experience with a dremel, sawzull or if you do not have the space or time then pay a guy like wrxsubiemod to do it cause experimenting on your car does not always work out well!

i went ahead and did it on my own and finished within an hour and a half. i just didnt shave the dividing wall.

Yes you can as long as you have the CEL code deleted from you're ECU. I passed smog with ported intake manifold, tgv's, head's, an highly moded motor with a APS SR40 turbo +tune. All I did was put my on OEM Catted Downpipe! Just gotta find a shop the doesn't care about passing the visual, but I know a bunch of them.

BTW people that do not know, you will need a tune for this mod asap or good bye motor.
