Default Kaixen HID Headlight Kits -Highest Quality HID Lighting!

Hello Fellow Texans!

I have KAIXEN HID Kits available for Texas NASIOC members at a great price. These are one of the highest quality HID light kits you can buy, with one of the lowest defect rates in the industry.

Here goes the basics:

What is HID?

HID (high intensity discharge) : The light is emitted from an arc discharge between two closely spaced electrodes hermetically sealed inside a small quartz glass tubular envelope capsule. To operate, they require ballasts, which supply proper voltage and control current. The amount of light produced is greater than a standard halogen bulb, while consuming less power, and more closely approximating the color temperature of natural daylight.

3 X brighter than any Halogen bulbs. Typical halogen bulbs will give you anywhere between 500 to 1000 Lumens, while consuming 55 watts or more. HID on the other hand will give you 3200 Lumens (based on 4300K) which is more than 3 times the light output of halogens.
The difference in light output is like day and night.
Whiter light: The color temperature of HID lighting more closely approximates the color temperature of natural daylight than does a halogen system, which appears yellowish in comparison.

You also have the option of getting Pure White (5000K), Crystal white (White with blue in certain angles)(6000K), Cyrstal purple (6500K), and Crystal blue. (8500K)
Consume less power. Only 35 watts of power is used.
Lasts almost 10 times longer than halogens. HID bulbs will last about 2500 hours. This means, it will last about 3 to 5 years of regular usage.

In case some of you are not aware of the KAIXEN brand, here are a few key facts:

KEY FACTS:

1. These are a 100***37; genuine Made in Korea brand.

2. Kaixen HID kits were first sold using Philips / Matshu****a ballasts and bulbs starting in 1999. Since then, Kaixen has recieved its own license as well as hiring several key engineers from Germany to develop its own high quality ballast / bulbs since 2002.

3. Kaixen is the only company other than Philips to develop the diamond-cut bulbs.

4. Kaixen is ISO2001 registered, E13 certified, and KQA quality assurance certified.

5. All kits are made direct in the factory, and are not "re-based" as most Philips HID kits are made.

6. Fit and finish quality is second to none.

7. Quality comparable, equal to, if not better than, OEM material.

8. Comes with 1-year full replacement warranty.

Competitive comparision:

1. Made in China / Taiwan products: Yes, it's cheap. But not by large margins. Although "Made in China" products have improved in recent years, most of the HID manufacturers in China are poorly managed, uses cheap labor (more risk of defects), uses cheaper raw materials (risk of defects), and fit and finish is poor compared to other Korean / Japanese / German brands. There's a reason why many of these kits (mostly sold on EBAY) are sold for around $200 or $250. It's because it costs that much less to build, many times, cutting corners in areas that shouldn't be cut.

2. OEM / Philips: Direct OEM replacements cost around $600 per one side (over $1000 for both sets). Therefore, many people go to the "next bext thing" = Philips. However, what most people don't know is that Philips do not make a variety of sizes. Philip's buyers (like Audi do not use all variations of sizes). This is why many resellers "rebase" the Philips bulbs to make it fit into sizes that are not originally made from Philips factory. There is a risk of product defect because of this modification. This is also another reason that many Philips kit's warranty is only valid from the reseller, and not from Philips head office.

As a comparision, Kaixen manufactures all sizes and colors directly from their manufacturing facility in South Korea. There is no rebasing or modification done outside of the factory, and all warranties are offered directly from Kaixen.

Here are some pictures of other cars with KAIXEN HID Kits:

More pictures found on www.kaixenkits.com

Colors available:

5000K (Crystal Natural), 6000K (Crystal White), 6500K (Crystal Purple), 8500K (Crystal Blue).

Less Kelvins (K) has better Lumens (Brightness).

More Kelvins (K) has more Colors.

'02 ~ '03 WRX (Impreza) takes 9007 application:

9007 is a bi-xenon application bulb on a bi-xenon application housing.
Meaning, you do low beam to high beam using one halogen bulb by going from 55 watts to 100 watts.

Why does this matter? - well, by having bi-xenon application, you get two things:

1. Bulb has to be bi-xenon (for high beam and low beam)
2. Housing will give off more glare than other counterparts (like H1, and H7).

Fact: Kaixen only has single low beam 9007. Meaning, you will lose high beam function (which is what I have, and don't mind it much - I just honk if someone cuts me off on the road instead of high beamming).

As for glare, you can reduce it little bit by leveling the headlights.
However, projector retrofit would be way to go for a good result.

2004 ~ 2005 WRX takes H1 application (most popular).
From the pictures I've seen so far, the Subaru WRX '04 and '05's have the best cut off line I've ever seen on an H1 housing.
Cut off is better than RSX other other H1 housing cars.

And don't worry, you guys use seperate high beam bulb, so theres no worries of losing high beam / low beam functions.

2006+ WRX takes H7 on projector lens:
Consider yourself lucky. Your car was designed for HID, and it should have HID. You're car is practically begging for it.
Cut off is as best as it can be, and results are excellent.

And yes, these are true "plug and play" kits with easy intallation.

Don't forget the 1 year full replacement warranty handled by AutoDoodad located right here is Texas!

It takes 2-3 days for in stock delivery to get to your door, in Texas it will probably take less time than that.

the GE kit is $280 and seems to work just as well if not better. the polarion kits are $350 and are equipped on benz and beemers. i think your pricing could be better. just my .02. not trying to hate, but wanting to inform the TXIC crowd.

The heat is no problem for the headlight replacements.

Look like a good product. Can you give me an idea how purple the crystal purple actually is? How much difference between it and the crystal white?

The crystal purple is white with a slight purple tint (6500K), while the crystal white is white with a slight blue tint (6000K). The 6000K's are a little brighter, the 5000K's are pure white and very bright. All the colors mentioned have a much brighter output than regular headlights, so light output is no problem.

All you need is the Kaixen kit, your stock headlight housings are fine and the cutoff is excellent with the Kaixen bulbs.
