Oh, no... That piece it frightening...
The new one is the prototype from RSD's STI Sedan that JPM did. The picture links to where to buy.

Here is the new one:

I don't like that at all. You have to go out of your way to look at those gauges. If its something you want to keep an eye on it seems a little too out of sight for a driver.

there is a company called monkey bone racing in Illinois making a clock pod. I have been waiting for this one to come out. He said around $150-$250.

I think I still like the ATI pod a little better but I'm glad that there are people still trying...
I wish I had more time to work on my own but for the $130 for the ATI, I've given up even trying. I still can't believe that it's taken over 4 years for someone to mass produce a clock pod.

So, are you going to do the fronts black to match? And save a bunch of work, lol.

I was really thinking to go that route just because the rears are so mint...
I don't know though, dark wheel, dark rotors, dark caliper, dark wheel wells, it's a lot of dark in there. I think I still need something to slightly stand out.

Powdercoat them in white, and powdercoat the brackets in black. Thats what I would do

I took a quick shot of the clock relocation. I'm finishing it up to prepare for the dash wrap in Alcantara. After the new pod is released I'm replacing the 52mm gauges with 60mm and wrapping everything in one shot.

I really like that. I would do it if that wasn't where I was putting my wideband. I thought about doing the 3 gauge setup in the stock clock location (get rid of the SMY I have at point) but I am really liking the stealth look.

Thanks Robb, I go back and forth all the time with the look of the gauges on the dash. I'm hoping the new ATI cluster will make the gauges less noticeable from outside the car but still keep them in an easy sight of view.
I do like the clock down below, I thought I wouldn't mind having it blocked by the gauges but I guess I look at it more often then I thought. It was an easy solution and it fits well.

I would not be able to stand something as obnoxious as three giant gauges on my dash. A pillars are almost as bad. I like driving down the road and having it so the person next to me can't see my gauges. That's just me though.

It's not that high, It's still lower then the hood scoop. But not having a hood scoop anymore would make it more noticeable. Plus the passenger (wife) likes to watch the dials go around, lol

Sorry to derail the thread but saw your relocated clock and then saw that you avg 30.3 mpg?!? How on earth do you manage that? I barely get 20 mpg on MY12 WRX @ Stg 1.

Just drive slower... Haha

J/k, when you change to bigger injectors it jumps way up in number but in reality it around 20 mpg still.

Hey Jason et al, FYI just took delivery of my '12 SWP WRX LTD Hatch !!!
How d' you like me now suckas..? (ok, slightly immature but what the hell)
Let the mods begin. Actually, probably prudent to wait 'til the odo hits 1k right? I guess wheels, tires, suspension could happen now and performance later. Thoughts, ideas, mistake avoidance issues would be appreciated.
Thanks!!

Hey Jason,

Have you had any issues with the Headlight Armor fog light film (melting, bubbling, etc.)? Also, did you have them on with the stock bulbs? How'd it look in your opinion?

I'm thinking of getting the film as opposed to painting them since I've read some not so great reviews on going that route haha. Thanks!

I haven't thought about the pickup at all, has it become a consistent problem? I still think I'm so easy on the car that even if I ran it without oil or antifreze I'll still be okay, lol
I just moved to a new house and now I live 3/4 mile from my job. My car doesn't even warm up anymore
