Default accessport question

Will my accessport off a 2003 wrx, be able to read the CEL codes from an 09 wrx? I don't want to flash anything, just check the codes and possibly clear them.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

should work, i've used my AP for codes on many cars, including 2013's

Is it a V2? If V1 I am not sure.

IIRC, notjustforshow's right. It acts like a standard ODB2 reader, and doesn't have to "marry" to the vehicle for this.

BTW, what is an 09 WRX doing having codes? perhaps when you read it, come back and reply, and some people can chime in?

Wow really is Brian's car throwing codes already ?

It's still under warranty tell that lazy **** to take it to the dealer and have them take care of it

And don't clear the codes if there is a problem the dealer won't fix it unless there is a code !

Turns out it wasn't the 09 wrx having problems, it was a very golf. Good to know it can be a standard OBD reader tho
