Your tuner should have emailed you a map to atleast get it there if he knew you were going to have to drive it.Put it on a trailer and tow it.Probably the lack of tune for your mods.

No, the car should still start and idle. It will just run rich as hell.

Are there any fuel leaks? Did you install the fuel pump properly?

yea your running rich as hell is what the problem is. poor idle plus lots of black smoke = richness.

Your stock tune doesnt know what to do with all the extra fuel yet.

What would the fuel pump have to do with it running rich as hell.YOU ARE NOT TUNED for what you have on the car now.If you read his post it starts it just idles rough.

My car would not idle with only a 50% increase in injector size (approx 550 to 815) with the factory ECU. It would just die immediately or not even catch at all while cranking.

If you cant get a temp map to limp it there take it as easy as possible so you don't damage your ride.

Are you saying that with the pedal to the floor it only idles and doesn't rev up at all.

oops I missed that you don't have a map.

+1 for a temp map.

The stock injectors are just about maxed, so the ECU is still telling your injectors to open right up, which is a bit much with your 860s.

You need to have the correct injector scales....

Are you using the stock MAF housing?

Since you said you are using the UTEC, turn the open loop fuelling on and adjust the injector flow rate to 860's and the stock injector flow rate to 550. This should put you in the ballpark.

FYI...there is new speed density firmware that came out for the UTEC yesterday.

Check all your connections for your FP and injectors. Mine ran fine, idled a bit rough though (never stalled), with the stock ecu on PE 850s until I got it tuned.

Do you have a boost gauge? If so what is your car's vacum level? I had a similar problem with a DSM, turned out I had a vacum leak, the throttle body was leaking. I hope that helps.

DO NOT Drive it running like that. You can gas wash the cylinders and have much bigger problems! You are way too rich like everyone is saying...too rich to just "drive thru". Do your car a favor and have to trailered to your tuner, or definitely get a temp map to cut the injector flow.

We had a similar problem after an injector install...fuel was running out of the tailpipe...way, way too rich.

you just need a map to scale the injectors back. you had small injectors spraying a small amount of fuel now you have big injectors and the ecu does not know it.
