Default Got my car back..... Good and bad news!

The bad news:

They say that first gear and reverse gear both need to be replaced along with other bits and pieces (shift fork too, just as I called it).

As soon as I walk in the show room, a salesman comes up to me and asks "are you the owner of the red wrx with the nice gauges? The mechanic wants to know if you have done anything secret to your car because it's the fastest they have driven with the mods that they see." (only had an up-pipe, K&N, cold plugs and a muffler)

Hey wait a second......How do you guys know how fast my car is?

The good news:

Everything will be covered under warranty without any bitching from SOA reps.

The head Subaru tech guy said he has never seen this problem on a new wrx before. He seemed quite baffled at it.

I hate it when other people beat on my car w/o my permission... just ask Just Tires in Hanover Park... I ripped em a new one after they tore down the street in my car. He claimed that he was seeing if it pulled to the right or left before it was getting aligned. It's called torque steer moron! Anyways, good to hear they are going to fix it w/o any problems.

AFTER you get your car fixed, I would tear them a new one on that cody. If someone ever said that about my car, I think they would be decked immediatly.

Default lucky

U are VERY lucky that they decided to work on your car with an uppipe installed. My shift fork was bad and caused total tranny failure. Now I am forced to put everything back to stock before I can get warranty work done.

Subaru of Evanston isn't very strict when it comes to small mods.
