Default RA vs SPT exhaust

The my '17 SPT exhaust was much louder and deeper than the RA exhaust. SPT had much much much better overall sound.

SPT mufflers were much smaller than the RA mufflers. The RA mufflers look like the enourmous stock mufflers that came off my '17 before I put the SPT on.

As far as the midpipe, both the SPT and the RA have slightly wider circumference at the Y (looks the same to me without measuring) than the stock '15-'18 midpipe. The RA midpipe has a big long resonator in the middle with a heat shield. The connection to the cat/downpipe is the same on all 3, but the RA has a different flanges on the Y.

I expect to see new axleback systems for the '19 being released soon.

Autotrader has a few 2019 STI for sale with pictures. The ac knobs surround is black like the 18 rather than red As the Subaru website showed. Exhaust looks just like the 2018. Also, the manufacture date was 5/18 and there are a few 18s also that date. Seems they changed over mid may.

In case you are nearby anytime could you get us any good quality pics of the updated head unit, steering and climate controls. We'd much appreciate it.
Earlier this evening, just after dinner I took a ride in bike and went to the dealer.
I took this 3 pictures. That was the best I was able to do. Sorry for the poor quality.

EDIT: 2019 WRX, HU 6.5in

Is this the unit with CarPlay? I gotta read up on swaps with earlier years. Would love that in my 2016.

Yes, it's the 6.5" HU CP/AA.

Here the 7" is only available with nav in the top trim "Sport tech"

Hold on, are you getting it in 4 weeks or you waited 4 weeks and now able to get it this coming Wednesday? If you waited 4 weeks that was really fast!

Can anyone chime in to whether the Android Auto is _wireless_ or the old plug in style?

Will be severely disappointed if it's the latter, but will not be surprised at all.

Ordered it June 16 and it I am getting it Thursday, having a few things done at the dealer which pushed it back a day. I'm told it is one of the first in the Toronto area.

That's awesome. Can you report back whether the Android Auto is wireless or not? No info I can find online.

I'm still waiting for the 7" for HK to makes its appearance on the parts site. I need that part number! I'm sure for us being in Canada it'll be pricey, but it might be worth it to avoid all the headaches with aftermarket.

Those buttons on the side look very big and...ugly. Cool that it has Carplay/AA now, but the unit could have looked better. Doesn't look up to MY2019 standards.

Went by the dealer today as its 5 minutes from my house, had a look on the inside. Unfortunately the AA/CP is USB and not wireless.

Make sense to me, Subaru’s aren’t know for their Infotainment systems. I do thank Subaru for stepping their game up on putting android auto and apple car play on the WRXs, I know some cars do not have them, like the Lexus Is350 F sport. Thanks for the info subie brethren. I am a bit jelly since you got yours so early. ***128557;

Looks like we finally got our first look at Google Maps working via Android Auto courtesy of one awesome reddit user (and new 2019 WRX owner)!

Just another data point here in the Seattle area. Placed an order for a limited STI yesterday (black w/ wing delete) and delivery will be in late September. When I got the email from SOA with the VON I had to message my dealer to make sure they had ordered an STI, as the email just said WRX. I guess in the context of the VON email it is a WRX.

Mine also just stated WRX. It makes sense since the car is aWRX and STI is trim level.

Just got a call from the dealer, they say my car is about a week away! Didn't really expect it to be so soon. Initial ETA was late September.

Btw, I went ahead and get a quote for a clear bra for full front + rocker panels for 1,600 (full front) + 375 (rocker panel). Do you guys think this is fair deal? That's all before tax.
