Let us make a pact: the first guy to say "I told you the real refs weren't any better" after the next blown call gets castrated.

Yip. Very much a factor this year. Last year they didn't have the experience to make a playoff run, this year is gonna be different.

Why? Now everybody in the stadium knows there's a chance the home team won't automatically win.

With the Saints imploding it's looking more and more like the AFC/NFC South is the new AFC/NFC West

So glad I can get back to complaining about the real refs blowing calls, it was no fun yelling about the replacements.

Christ man, you have to be the most unfun, dimwitted, depressed football fan I've ever seen. No one can even make a crack in your direction without getting a post frontloaded with a stern face. Lighten up.

Your team sucks. There's no reason to be so angry about it.

Thanks for the astute observation. BacDoc and I might seem like we hate each others' guts but only in this thread(at least that I know of). That last post was tongue in cheek, I know what he 'really' meant.

Seahawks WR Tate acknowledges getting away w/ offensive pass interference penalty on Packers CB

Quote:
Golden Tate now fully acknowledges getting away without a penalty on the controversial final play of the Seattle Seahawks' victory over the Green Bay Packers on Monday night but says the suggestion that he was trying to cheat is unfounded.

"A lot of people would just like for me to come out and say, 'I did not catch that ball,'" Tate said Wednesday, according to the Seattle Times, referring to the 24-yard touchdown reception he was credited with instead of an interception for Packers defensive back M.D. Jennings, who got his hands on the ball first.

After the game Monday night, Tate said, "I don't know what you're talking about," when ESPN sideline reporter Lisa Salters asked him whether he had pushed off against Packers defensive back Sam Shields.

The Packers' M.D. Jennings appears to have possession of the ball Russell Wilson threw at the end of Monday night's game, but Golden Tate was credited for a touchdown after also grabbing the ball on his way to the turf.

But after watching the replay, he's telling a different story.

"The evidence shows on the film. But I never had intentions on cheating. I wasn't trying to cheat. I was competing, it was in the moment," he said, according to the Seattle Times. "Things are happening so quick. I honestly didn't even notice I did. I didn't try to hurt him or push him down to the ground, but it happened. It was just a reaction kind of thing. ...

"As far as pushing the defender, I was caught up in the moment, playing football. At that point, it was just like backyard football -- find a way to get the ball. I didn't intentionally try to shove him to the ground," he said, according to the newspaper.

well, that's nice of him!

As for Tate pushing off, totally in the moment never gonna get called kinda deal there so I understand. However that might be the most obvious push off in a hail Mary ever. If they called it I wouldn't be mad.

I don't know what you're talking about. That wasn't a blown call and the Seahawks totally deserved to win that game. Afterall, I have a 60" inch flat screen in my parent's basement, I played semi pro ball in bum**** egypt, and I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Much ado, about nothing.

In other news, apparently the Seahawks players are more honest than their own fans are. Who knew?

As least this crap is over now...the other refs sucked about 60% less anyways so **** it, just get back to talking and reporting about football instead of insignificant Union crap which is what this really was. I think this week will go slightly better then last week. Hopefully the speed of the game and the understanding of the proper procedures will be better, but blown calls happen every game, multiple times a game and at any point in the game every Sunday...

I never once defended the OPI. I admitted there was PI on almost every post since the play happened. Then you tell me to shut the **** up, and then continue to take shots at me days later? Get over yourselves.
