Default CEL, and Boost Cut Elimination??

I am hung over whether to purchase the accessport, or to go with romraider, and get a protune. I need to know if it is possible to eliminate CEL's from coming on with freeware software such as romraider, such as low catalyst efficiency. Also on that note, is their a way to get rid of the boost cut @ 130 MPH with that software as well?

HINT: Download the OS software and play round with some maps.... it's free / educational, so why not?

Yes, the OS editing software allows you to enable/disable CEL trouble codes from poping up.

you are also allowed to removed boost and fuel cuts. but you shouldn't move them too far.

RomRaider is a map editor and logger.

EcuFlash will flash a map to the ECU, it is also a map editor.

You should have these two utilities minimum. There are some other extras that you can find on the RomRaider site which help. Namely, the Learning View tool, Airboy's spreadsheet, and DataLogLab (excellent log analysis suite).

130mph?

if you want to use romraider yourself, you need a wbo2 to do anything safely.

^^ thats not exactly true....you can change the boost and timing, just dont mess with the fuel without a wideband. The stock maps are pretty rich from what i've seen...

Anyone using dataloglab? From the screenshots it looks like a prettier version of airboys spreadsheet.....is there anything DLL can do that airboys sheet wont?

I was planning on getting the innovate LM1 for a wideband, but i'm not gonna start editing maps for my car until I read up on tuning a bit first, I'm a mechanic so I understand what's going on with timing, boost, and fuel maps, but I dont have the first clue on what I need to monitor, and what to change how much to improve the maps I edit.

I was thinking the same thing when I bought my LC-1. But now i'm getting a LM-1 to tune other peoples cars. I still like my lc-1 and It's all set up for me but the LM-1 can be easily moved from car to car. It depends on your goals.
Lc-1 is great for a permanent install.

Can't go wrong with innovate, some other widebands on the market don't really go quite rich enough for our cars.

I bought a second LC-1 and made it "portable" by adding a cigarette lighter cord to power it.

That sounds like a much better option than dropping the extra cash on the LM-1.

On another note, do any of you guys have any suggestions on whether or not to purchase this map, I wasn't planning on using the launch control, but it is perfect for my setup I have right now.
