Does a Toledo Suburb count as greater Detroit? I see nothing for my immediate area. Also I tend to travel up to the north Detroit burbs at least once a month.

Just installed a grimmspeed jpipe to nameless cbe yesterday on my 2018 wrx. Holy ****, what a PITA.

Getting the upper right turbo stud off was a nightmare, very little room to work, and needed a specifically slim, yet long socket with a swivel joint to even get access to it. Re-mounting the turbo bracket was difficult too, super hard to line up, but eventually got it all torqued down without cross threading. Grimmspeed install video makes it look so easy, ended up taking around 4 hours.

Anyone else have a similar experience putting one of these on?

That being said, sounds absolutely awesome and totally changes the sound and response of the car.

Didn't you just want to slap the designer/engineer? Subaru does a poor job of protecting those parts from the elements with turbo in that location. You should see the really rusty ones. SMH

I have a new clicking sound from the rear, it comes from the right rear.

This sounds like a broken CV shaft on a fwd car, but from the rear right & I hear that only on fast Michigan left turns, when I'm trying to make a light at the end of the Michigan left.

Slow turns the car is pretty silent.

The car is a 2017 Sti, WRB ( I heard this color is the loudest), stock with 36.5K miles on it.

Should I change the color to a little more subtle one like a white and will the sound go away?? (JK)

Jokes apart, I'm thinking of taking it to Hodges, I live in Troy, But I don't want to deal with Suburban.

Is that something simple? From the reading I've done, it sounds like either
1, Axle
2, Axle nut
3, Wheel bearing
4, Color.

Any pointers? Hope it gets covered under warranty.

That might be worth turning down an overtime shift.... I'll have to see what the wife thinks about it. And what kind of mood mother nature is in, she's been pretty bi-polar lately

Does it sound consistent, or is it like the video above?

Dealt with something like this on my Protege5. Sound anything like this? I thought it was a CV but the sound remained after changing it out. Finally got tired of guessing and I found a long bolt and clamped the bearing together and spun it with my impact. Sure enough I heard the sound clear as day.

Took it to hodges.

It was a socket, which somehow worked inside the pass rear doorpanel. I've no idea how, but It was one of the husky 6pt, deep sockets which I use for swapping tires.

I'm feeling dumb, again !!

I'm in Canton too. Down for a drive pretty much anywhere.

Though when the weather warms up, the Subaru will probably get parked in favor of driving the Pro5. Got some maintenance to do on the Subie - rebuilding the calipers as I don't think they've been touched save for being painted red at some point... New pads and greased slide pins too, but the pistons are dragging and I'm not fond of that. Cannot wait for autocross season to begin.

No worries, Softie. SMH

I lived in Lansing and worked in downtown Pontiac.

Live west of the airport and worked in Warren, Auburn Hills, Lansing depending upon meetings, reviews, etc.

Live west of the airport and HPDE at Waterford.

So pardon me if I LAUGH hearing Canton is too far from H2Oford. (don't take me pulling your leg seriously)

There's an event that a group in Akron Ohio is putting on that's the weekend prior to Detroit's first event that I'm thinking of going to, but I've also got (my last round of) finals in April, so perhaps I should focus on the events after them...
