I showed her the MOD report from my hotel saying the police were called to deal with a drunk belligerent guest that same evening.
I would say that's more the norm than not.

So all that forbidden JDM fruit like Skylines, GC8s, old Evos, etc have been hacked up and swapped at an unknown level of quality. Too risky IMO. Not to mention the roads are trash here, there's way too much traffic, cars cost a fortune and I don't think I'd even buy a manual transmission car, let alone a fast, sporty one as a toy.

I enjoy when people are on Judge Judy as a plaintiff but don't seem to have ever noticed judge judy on TV. Yes, let the sass flow through you. That will help your case.

The Zerowater filter is actually pretty dang good. I'm curious to see how long it lasts but for the moment I'll take it! Previously we were using Mavea but they pulled out of the US market. No more German filters for me: sadbanana:

My tap water comes out at a TDS of 25-30ppm. It's damn tasty stuff.

I bought a $30 240GB Kingston SSD to resurrect a Dell laptop from 2013. Loaded Win7, upgraded to Win10, everything seem speedy and responsive. The process of making old crap functional again is so satisfying.

Ours measured 180ish with the included meter. It tastes OK and is perfectly clean, just needs a bit of improvement.

We got one as a gift and didn't like the taste. Tried cleaning it, replacing the filter... same. Just an odd bitter taste. Went to brita. can't recall what we had that we regretted donating.

We had a long morning of snow Wednesday. "Full coverage all da...yy? All day? Yes, all day." -News Anchor woman seeming to find out and be angry about it in real time. That's amazing news, makes you really feel the story. The montage of dramatic music over not all dramatic footage was fun. One station being full on 'we're going to die' levels of dramatics and another station being as indifferent as they could be was great too.

Joy: Mr. Rogers

Watch the documentary. The guy was a radical visionary and it's fascinating to have this revelation as an adult when all I have are hazy memories as a little kid of this show being on in the background.

It was basically impossible not to cry through 80% of the movie.

My daughter’s pinewood derby car won best of show in her Girl Scouts pinewood derby. She’s a daisy, so the theme was appreciated.

Nice! That's a great looking car.

I won Best of Show with mine as well and I suspect would have also placed very well if not for a poor judgement call by the organizers. Minesmoked every other car in the first heat but at the end of the track they had a bunch of kids catching the cars, the kid who caught mine did so by doing an overhanded downward swing and he tweaked the axles out of their grooves so that they dragged the track in the subsequent heats, and since they're in parc fermee we couldn't make the minor repair.

I'm glad to hear the Girl Scouts do the Pinewood Derby too. It teaches some very important life lessons. For example that you have to cheat to win in life because if you don't someone else will. This is an especially important lesson if you want to race real cars.

Some sciency guy on YouTube did a video on how to consistently win pinewood derbies. It didn't even require cheating.

The best thing Ancient Aliens has taught me is that I do not have to wonder. Also there's claim much of the contributors are racist. Neat.

What are you going to do to make sure the beast is in far enough? Tennis ball hung from garage ceiling? That rear clearance would make me very nervous.
