I thought the lowest it should be is E70? Iím pretty sure thatís what all the pumps in Colorado show the minimum is.

ASTM spec allows 51%-83% ethanol (E85 is a bit of a misnomer). You will likely find lower percentages in winter as well to assist with starting in cold temps.

Edit: some stations and/or localities may limit the range, but I do not expect stricter limits to be universal.

Any others running this tune that can report results? Interested in hearing how it is going. The price per hp is quite intriquing.

Been runing this tune for about 4 days now. Definitely good power gain for the money. DAM dropped to .875 the second day and was getting a bit of knock. Added another 1/2 gallon of e85 to the tank and issue went away. DAM has been at 1 since then and almost no knock at all. Definitely stick to the 2:1 ratio of pump gas to e85. Second fill up so far and I haven't seen any further issues. Definitely research the actual ethanol content of "e85" sold in your area year round so you can get as close to e30 as possible.

Ian, is this E30 tune free if we buy an Accessport from MAP? Or is it +$150 on top of the Accessport? Your website wording makes it seem like the 91, 93, or E30 tune are free if you purchase the Accessport through MAP.

If I buy an accessport and stage 1 e30 map, will the stage 2 map be an additional cost if I upgrade in the future?

Only the pump gas tunes are free with the purchase of the AP. The E30 tune is $150 additional if the AP is purchased through us, or $299 if you already own an Accessport, or purchased elsewhere.

That's a good question. If your purchase our stage 2 kit, and you already have our stage 1 E30 tune, I would upgrade to the stage 2 E30 for $75.

My experience has been pretty similar. The knock I was seeing before is gone since I refueled with a higher ethanol/gas ratio. Now I am considering purchasing or DIYing an ethanol% gauge.

Overall I am very happy with this tune. The power is as high as I want to go for a DD that needs to last, and without any other engine mods

Hi Ian, would you ever consider comboing this OTS tune with the Cobb flex fuel sensor kit?

Would that work? or does the Cobb FF kit requires pro-tune?

When changing maps between the MAP Stage 1 91 to the MAP Stage 1 E30 tune, on the Accessport can we do a Realtime map change or should these always be changed via a full Reflash?

This is great. I just have a few questions. I have a 2018 wrx. I am looking to do stage 1.
1. Is there anything i need to change on the car? Fuel pump? Injectors, sensors.
2. Do i need to add anything to the car for this to work?
3. What happens if you cant find and E85 station and you need to add gas? Do you just reflash back to non e30?
4. Can this be run all the time or do you need to run a tank of gas in between.

Thank you

Also just wondering. I have a station near me that pumps E30. So does this mean I can just pump this in without mixing like E85

According to earlier posts in this thread, here are the answers to some of your questions:

1. & 2. For the Stage 1 E30 tune nothing new is required besides an Accessport to load the tune

3.Reflash to non-e30 if there is not ethanol available (Ian stated earlier that the E30 tune will work from E25 to E50)

4. I have not seen this question addressed yet in this thread, and am curious too?

Ian, correct me if I'm wrong on any of these answers

Another question would be how often to fill the gas tank? Do you fill 4 gallons of e85 every time you reach a 1/4 tank and the rest 91/93? If so, you would end up having more e85 eventually. How do you compensate for each fill up?

Correct. Simply stick with the 2:1 ration (2 parts pump gas to 1 part E85), and you should be good to go!

On the AP you can select the Ethanol % gauge. Just in case you weren't aware.

Ian,
Have you guys done any revision to the first E30 map you guys have released. With some of the data and feedback you have got from the owners that have tested it.

There isn't an Ethanol gauge on the AP until you have installed a Flex fuel kit.

Yea you might be right. I have the Delicious tuning kit so explains why. Thought maybe it was always there because most gas stations all have at the most 10% ethanol in them now.
