Does it have something to do with feminists and SJWs? Probably. Does Hollywood make ****ty movies all the time regardless of the sex of the characters? Of course.

I've liked almost all of what Marvel has put out so far (I still need to see Black Panther, the newest Spiderman, and Infinity Wars), so I'm sure I'll enjoy this.

What? Companies are going to market specifically to under served demographics when the currently served demographics market becomes over saturated?

Toby, Y U cray cray? That sounds like a terrible business decision!

I'll concede that certain types of movies are going to target different demographics.

I'm not sure what demographic the last ghost busters was suppose to target, but it seems like it missed the mark. At least in the media.

This was masked in TFA because Abrams was a good enough director and writer to give him a rehash of ANH BUT still had enough new content to keep the story interesting. Rian Johnson doesnt have the pedigree that JJ had, and Kennedy shoveled all the Cal Berkeley SJW bull* she could into TLJ, which combined with Johnson's shoddy writing ability led to TLJ being a heaping pile of steaming dung.

Where on the surface TLJ appeared to be a fiscal success, in reality it was a financial failure as it only mustered roughly half of what it was projected to make at the box office. Secondary sales (merchandising) was equally as disappointing. The backlash against TLJ directly led to Solo bombing at the box office and being a overall "loss" for Disney.

Sooooooooo seeing the cover of that magazine and the headline "The Future is Female", made me chuckle.

The difference here is that Marvel Studios is headed up by Kevin Feige who actually knows what he is doing and values a good story, and character development over political BS.
Just being snarky, and then follow up with all the reasons you are just being dumb.

"Won't someone think of the forgotten white male and cast us as action/super heroes?!?!?!"

A list of blockbusters that could have been good but sucked that were released in 2016 includes, but is not limited to:

Suicide Squad
Batman v Superman
Warcraft
Star Trek Beyond

So yeah, aside from some notable blockbusters, it was pretty obvious that in 2016 the pipeline was a bit thin for blockbusters, so they had to put out some real crap.

And truthfully, watching Ghostbusters when it's on TV, turn the sound down, and do something else, and it's not a horrible movie.

Overrated. It had its moments but not enough to deserve all the hype it received. Keep your expectations in check.

I agree... it was a solid movie for sure, but not as good as its $billion earnings would make you think.

To make it worse, everyone raved about Michael B Jordan as Killmonger. The villain was decent and you can see where he was coming from, but he was so, so bad. Klaue was so much more interesting and fun to watch.

We all have this crap in our brains. It's just idiots like wolf that remove the factory air filter entirely and install a loud BOV that sounds like a duck fart.

Michael B Jordan is a horrible actor. If he weren't in the movie it would have been so much better

Yeah I bought into the hype and was a bit disappointed with Black Panther. I liked Michael B Jordan in Creed, but he was not good as the villain here. I'm not sure if that's on him or just poor writing/character design.

Agree, they should have kept Klaue around. Could have had Killmonger find his way to Wakanda without killing him off.

She is one of most powerful with Jean Grey or Phoenix being #1
