Default Monitoring the air temps coming OUT of the intercooler.

I am interested in monitoring the air temps basically at the short inlet between the tmic and the intake manifold. I DO NOT want to have the top mount tapped as itís not OEM and I donít want to ruin its value by tapping a hole in it. I doubt itís the last tmic Iíll have as I will eventually move to a Process West and want to be able to sell the one I have, in drilled and tapped.

With that being said, how can I install the sensor and into that silicone tube and know itís not going to leak? Better way? Any insight from people who actually monitor their, after intercooler, intake air temps?

thanks for reading! A pic of my car for attention....

And I see Iím not the only person to ask this question. Iíve found that Mishimoto makes. 2.5Ē coupler with a 1/8npt bung, and a 3Ē version. Having a hard time finding the 2.75Ē Silicone coupler with a 1/8npt bung built in. Any leads? Google isnít turning out anything for me.

You should be installing this to the intake manifold, post-throttle. JDM Spec C manifolds all have an IAT sensor already on the manifold itself.
