Did you find a better deal on the 04sti brembos rather than 08+ STI? Also did someone recommend to install the brake booster assembly from the STI too? I haven't seen anyone else do that so I am just curious. I'd love to put these brakes on my hatch someday....

kpSTI, do you track your car? Seems like a lot of money spent for not much of an increase in stopping distance. 2008 STi stops in 106ft and the 2009 WRX is 107ft. Brake fade is really the reason to upgrade to Brembos.

They are, for a track car. For a daily driver, pads and tires will do more than a big brake kit.

I am going to as soon as I get the brakes done. It's something that I've only done once and I have made it my goal to make a DD that I can go to the track with... It's been a long process, but I'm trying to do it right with a limited budget.

Default My baby!

My ride started off a stock sedan. Now shes got a moderate list of mods, both visual and mechanical.

photo 1.jpg

photo 2.jpg

photo 3.jpg

photo 4.jpg

photo 5.jpg

The body mods include a Chargespeed Front Bumper, CS side skirts, Duraflex Front Fenders (I know ), Shaved driver side exhaust port on rear bumper, Seibon Hood, Seibon Trunk (I don't like the way that turned out), and CS Carbon Fiber Mirrors. The paint job was done by a buddy of mine that recently opened the doors to his own paint and body shop (LD customs and collision in Humble/Houston, Texas.)

Engine mods include:

1. Cosworth Intake Manifold
2. Cosworth TGV Delete Kit
3. Perrin Rotated Turbo Kit w/Garrett GTX3076R Turbo
4. Perrin Top Feed Fuel Rail Kit
5. Perrin Huge FMIC w/piping customized by Secret Service Auto in Houston, Texas (AWD Dyno) to a blow through set-up

Exhaust System mods:

1. Invidia N1 Race Exhaust
2. Perrin (See Above Rotated Turbo Kit) Catless Downpipe
3. Tomei Unequal Length Header w/Ceramic Coating to keep underhood temps down and exhaust gases as hot as possible for turbo spool. I hadn't planned on wrapping it but my buddy Justin w/LD Customs decided to put the wrap on anyways. For those of you that are thinking about doing the rotated turbo kit and the headers. They take custom modification (Cutting & Welding to make the Perrin Up-Pipe fit properly) to fit flawless together.

Cooling/Air Flow Mods:

1. Mishimoto 3 Core all aluminum race radiator with fan shroud. (Point of Note: Love Mishimoto would recommend, but fan shroud, very displeased with, the fan shroud with its 10 or 12 inch fans would not properly cool my engine, had Secret Service customize and replace the fans in the fan shroud to x2 14" fans that you would only find on a drag style supra. Another note: damn those fans are loud.
2. Perrin Cold Air Intake (CAI) came with rotated turbo kit.

Lighting Mods:

1. TheRetroFitSource HID Kit. Never thought I would ever have to cook my headlight assembly in the oven to modify it. Well worth the money and the bragging rights, and who else gets to say that they literally cooked their headlights in the oven.

Misc Mods:

1. Red Supertones (L.A.F.)

Good list of mods... but this ^. The front fenders look like they are for the STi, narrowbody(WRX/Impreza) in the back.

Which part of Houston do you live in? I am in Katy

How did you get your rear diffuser to have only one exit?

Bah, he just needs the rear from a 11+ wrx (doors and bumper) to complete the wide body. Then get some wider wheels and tires.
