Default First generation Legacy dash into a 2000 Impreza?

Hello yíall. Have any of you ever tried to fit the dash from a 1989-1994 Legacy into a 1993-2001 Impreza? Iím currently in the process of turbo swapping my Impreza and already have the dash pulled, so I got to thinking...I know itíll probably be a huge waste of time with a lot of hacking and cutting, but I just love the way the first gen legacy dash looks. Any input would be much appreciated

I don't think anyone has attempted this (at least not that I know of, and I've been in the Subaru scene and owned first gen Legacies since 2008). It's your car, but in my opinion this would be way more trouble than it's worth. Keep in mind there are a LOT of differences between the first generation Legacy and the first generation Impreza, including the configuration of the wiring harness and location of the ECU.

As an aside, you are using a factory turbo Legacy to swap your Impreza? I hope the Legacy donor is either badly rusted or crashed, because it's a shame to strip one of the rare turbo Legacies for parts if it's in good shape.
