Popping this back up. 2015 with 47kmi - stock battery replaced at 21k. Installed an aftermarket h/u and shortly after the radio started restarting during all driving conditions.

Driving at night, I noticed the headlights would also flicker and TCS / PS light would come on. Happened during a turn and felt power steering drop for a moment. On a brand new battery, 1 week later the issue popped back up.

AP Showing 9.5-19.5v. This has kept it between 13.5-14.5v. Concerned about the root cause but this appears to have been a fix...

Default battery voltage

Hi, I'm from Poland and a year ago I bought my WRX 2016 from Canada with COBB AP Stage 1. Let me refresh the issue.

I also had a strange experiance with charging. When I had an old factory battery charging voltage was 12,5-14,14. A week ago I observed occasional low charging to 10. I went to Subaru dealer and it turned out to be the dead battery (after 6 years...). There was also an inspection af the alternator and everything was ok. After installing a new battery (BOSCH EFB equal to the factory one) the charging came back to 12,8-14,14. But the other day, after a long journey it ocassionally dropped to 10,8 or sitted at 12,6 and by WOT came back to 14,1. The same when ligths on. The Subaru Dealer again made an inspection and everything is ok. I was informed that my alternator is "smart" and keeps my battery in good condition not charging it all the time equally. And now I can see on my AP very different values. Most of the time 13-14V, but sometimes 11,8-12,6 with momental drops to 10,8.

Previously voltage would hover between the 12s and 13s when driving normally. With the fuse, I am consistently at ~14.4-14.6.
Got this in the mail the other day as well. Pricey, but seems to have fixed my low voltages as well. Quick shipping from AU.
