Testing coilpacks
I have an 2008 WRX with individual coil packs on each plug. What is the proper way to test these, I do not have the repair manual yet

Use a ostilliscope(spelling)..... scope firing voltage and actual burn voltage which should be about 1/4 of the fire voltage.

You think you're down a cylinder? Unplug them one at a time, you should feel/hear the cylinder drop if it was working.
