Ive watched numerous installs on line. it does look fairly straight forward as you explained. i just dont have the balls to cut my own fenders, nor the tools.

Flares are in MD now and will be here tomorrow. I picked up some 5mm wheels spacers today just in case i want to push it out just a tad further. As long as the flares line up well with the car everything should be done by Friday evening. Eventually i will paint them. im going to do a mass painting of numerous parts at 1 time. So when i have the time thats when they get done.

Do you plan on making it two piece to allow removal of the bumpers?

That would be nice, i have thought about that a lot. That was a big reason why i hesitated on these flares and didnt buy them a few months ago when they came out. Im gonna see what the shop says tomorrow. Worse case they stay as is and i just unbolt the flare in the front to remove the bumper.

I wonder if the shop could make a fine cut on the flare where the bumper and fender meet, sand down the edges, then use double sided tape so it would hold onto the bumper well.

What are your plans for the fender liners and cutting the bumper area and fender ornament under the flare?

the flares come with double sided tape and all the fasteners. i think the fender liners may have to just get tossed out. i dont think the area where the fender badge is needs to be cut. looks like just the arch part of the metal fender itself will need to be cut. but ill let the body shop give me advise on that one.

Flares are installed. New wheels and tires go on at 3pm!

A lot of cutting was done to the fenders and bumper. Huge thanks to UlteriorAutomotive out of Front Royal VA. I'll be going back for custom carbon fiber work!

I need to do more trimming, I'm rubbing on the back bumper. I got home and it's dark out. This is all I really got when I stopped to get gas, I was in a rush going home.

Yup, definitely persuaded me to get the flares.

What camber specs are you going to shoot for? Are you or are you going to run camber arms in the rear?

I'm really not very knowledgeable when it comes to specific specs on camber. Rear arms are stock right now and eventually they will be replaced. But as of right now I'd like to get the camber where I can maximize tire life. I don't want it real cambered in. Once I'm done making room for the tires crazy camber shouldn't be necessary.

That's what I'm worried about as well. With the tires being so wide, I wouldn't want to dial in too much camber to squeeze in 18x10.5 +15 and 295's and have them last a couple of months. When I buy these I'm gonna pick up a set of LCA's and try to run as close to stock camber as possible I think, maybe just a tad more negative.

Yep. I always tell them put it as close to stock as you can get. It doesn't go to the track. I need my tires to last awhile
