Default Crawford V3 AOS Review for the STI

Here's my review of the Crawford V3 AOS.

In summary: me no likey for track use because it does not separate oil out of the valve cover breathers. This is where a lot of oil comes out of the engine when you track the car because of the G forces and these lines being under vacuum.

At a recent track event I smoked up the paddock as oil pooled in my intercooler and was burned off.

This happened once before when I had no AOS and the catch can was full after a track session.

So even with the Crawford V3 AOS installed I have had to reinstall my catch can.

Their V2 AOS does intercept the oil from the valve cover breathers so this newer version isn't really an upgrade at all. I feel deceived.

Which AOS did you end up using or did you just stick with a catch can?

I don't know what your track setup is, but if you're having liquid egress of oil from the head ports, our Oil Control Valve will prevent that from happening under high lateral loads.

Might give you an opportunity to give the Crawford another try.
