I was looking at the front wheel wells of the 18' STI and noticed the drivers side wheel well has what I think is the rust proof coating (black coating) that is splattered everywhere and dripping down. The passenger side does not look like this. The passenger side black coating gently fades into the paint color.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Just curious.

Every report Iíve seen has said 2019 will be exactly the same with the new platform coming in 2020.

Which makes sense. They do a minor refresh for 2018 to buy themselves two more years of customers, then give us something brand new in 2020.

Default Your WRX is COMING TO LIFE

FINALLY got me a VIN!!! YAY!!!

ETA is now on or before April 9! So, a little longer than expected but getting closer!

Edit: Decided to try the mysubaru thing and it took my VIN right away; no issues. Gave me access to the owners manual, which I thought was cool even though I know I could have found it here.
CHEERS!

CHEERS!

Got my VIN late last night for STi Limited as well. Same ETA, so the theory that these are batch jobs makes complete sense.

Same as I've seen also. It does make sense, they wouldn't spend money on changing parts with 1 year left before a major change.

Same day as mine. And yeah, calling for snow for me on that day, too. Damn winter just doesn't know how to die.

This work week has been, let's say, less than productive.

I have no idea. I can ask the dealer tomorrow if I remember between jumping up and down like a 9th grade school girl getting asked to the Christmas dance by the captain of the football team.

Which dealership? I've been talking to a guy at Day Apollo and someone from Cochran Subaru. Not sure which to go with.

Day Apollo.

Been working with Joe Birmingham. Seems like a pretty good guy, super easy to work with.

My friend who is taking me to pick up my car tomorrow bought his 2014 WRX there and loves them. Says the service department is awesome.
