Perrin Rear Differential Subframe Lockdown
Has anybody tried this?
How much does it improve the feel of the car?

http://www.turninconcepts.com/ has a more proven set-up with the Kartboy units and Whiteline lockout bolts. Improve the feel? Yes. I recommend the Unabomber's sexy rear end combo....check their site for details.

AFAIK Subaru has the rear subframe locking holes to secure the rear for alignment during production. I believe that it is not recommended to run locking bolts all the time (I don't remember where I read this, maybee Whiteline?) as they were not meant to absorb the loads placed on them by street bumps and lateral loading. Comments?
Ninja edit: For cred, yes I do own a pair of these bolts and yes I have experienced the difference. They do lock it down quite nicely but it gets a lot more harsh. I also have not had them on either WRX in a long time as they go in for things like auto-x. |

i am currently using unabombers sexy rear end in my 02 wrx. i can say i would definately recommend it. his sexy rear end made a world of difference in the way the car handles now. u will get a lil whine from the rear diff since the rubber bushings are locked out now, but if u have the radio on u wont hear it.
and on the bright side if u dont want the lock bolts then u can still get the bushings for the diff carrier and the rear subframe from the great guys at TiC. (side note, i saw that someone got army men with his unabomber kit, i did not recieve any nifty toys with my kit. ) |
