13.2 @ 101.83 mph
Hey guys, Just wanted to post my time.
I'm not sure if that is a good time for my set up. Mods: Turbo Back exhaust uppipe pulley ECUtek reflash. tuned for 94 octane gas. 60'=1.896 1/8=8.472 @ 84.11mph 1/4=13.254 @ 101.83mph it's kinda funny the pass I had before this one was slower but my 60' was way better. Can anybody explain that? 60'=1.842 (personal best) 1/8=8.491 @ 83.03 1/4=13.311 @ 100.59 mph anyhow, just want to know if I thats a good time or should be doing better. Thanks

Wow your car is SMOKING in the 1/8mile thats a good mph for a stock turbo car. My car runs a 13.2 also but only trapping at 81-82mph in the 1/8 but a faster 103.5mph in the 1/4. If you could get alittle bit more topend somehow you'd be all over running a 12.9!
Both our cars ran 8.4s in the 1/8, weird considering the mph difference. I like comparing cars -Paul |

Just noticed that. 84mph in the 1/8th is big, for sure...don't understand the only 18mph gain in the second 1/8th though. But, then again, I have my own problems

Thanks guy, it's good to hear that my car is performing the way it should.
GCM, Paul From Neetronics. He a local tuner for ECUtek. I guess he know what he doing. ImprezaRS dot com, The temp. was around 55 degrees. My car reacted very well to the cold weather. I wanted to do a couple more passes but I was running out of gas. So I only got a few runs in. I know that my 60' isn't the best but I noticed that people on this board have been getting low 1.8 to high 1.7 60' times with the same set up. I'm just wondering if it's possible to get into the 12.9XX's with a better 60' and without race fuel. Has it been done before with these mods? Just curious. Thanks again guys |

No it has been done with more mods and race fuel some without race gas or just a mix.. although I think you can do it with just more mods on pump gas. Alittle weight reduction would go a long way too

Ya, my car felt very fast yesterday.
Mainly because I was keeping up with a 03' cobra. But he just wasn't getting any traction. |

Yeah I’d have to say that you got amazing times on your run…considering how you only have those few mods done to your car. My car is tuned just the same, I haven’t had a chance to take it down the track yet, but I’ll definitely be looking forward to getting the same times as you (if not lower…like in the 12’s) now that I know what kind of time I should expect.
Just like what PaulRex had said, a little weight reduction would go a long way too. You should remove as much as you can out of your car, the less weight you have in there, the more horsepower your car’ll carry. Even if it means having to remove CD cases and sunglasses…haha. Just kidding. No but on the serious note, you car sounds like it was definitely smoking…great job! Was that from a roll or off the line? |

T_R3X,
thanks for the compliment but what did you mean by "from a roll or off the line?" You are aware that I was at a 1/4mile track, right? Therefore I can't "roll" off the line. BUt your right about the weight reduction, every pound makes a difference. I once heard that 100lbs=10hp (approx.) Could someone confirm that? would that mean that 10lb=1hp? If so, your right, removing my cd's and sunglasses would help. |

Very very good run. Get some race fuel, turn up the boost if you have a mbc, wait for another cold night, and get a 12 sec slip

i've never done any strait line track stuff, but isn't the 60' time within 1st gear? could it have something to do with the launch?

It is not uncommon to have contradicting 60ft times. Your best time maybe on a slower run. And vise-versa. There are tons of reasons for that. Shift reaction times, trottle placement, Shifting rpm loaction, all things that take fractions of a second. Also, launching the car too hard may yeild a good 60ft but after that causes slight wheel hop (more fractions of seconds lossed or gained)

I'm not gonna be satisfied until I hit the 12's.
But ya, I love the fact that it's still a grocery getter. |

seems like the car is running nicely! Congrats.
Get that 60 foot down, and you'll be at a solid 13.0, possible even a high 12 on the right day! |
