Default high mileage WRX?

greets.

I'm looking at a WRX wagon, it's a good deal but it has 47k miles on it.

what are some things i need to look for when i take a trip up to the dealer**** today?

See if it has service records, check the condition of the tires, look carefully for flaws in the body and wear on interior parts.

find out who owned it. if it was some dumb kid...there is more chance it was mistreated. find out if there was any warranty work done on it. does it have any modifications? if not, it should be ok.

How much $$ Drivetrain warranty is to 60K. Is there an extended warranty? Drive it cold and see if the clutch shudders. Find a very steep hill. Start at the top in first gear, and let it coast down in 1st. If it pops out of gear you probably need Syncros. Should be a great car and you still have 13k miles to find any problems. I have a friend who has 58k on his and its still perfect. He has NEVER had it back to the dealer, for any reason!!
