Default How fast will I be at stage 2.5(2004 wrx)?

Hey everyone,

I hope this is the right place to post this question. I currently have a 2004 wrx w/cobb stage 2. Im soon going to upgrade to the cobb vf39/stage 2.5 map with vf39, sti tmic, sti pink injectors and walbro 255 fp. Now, my question is, with this setup, approximately how fast will my quarter mile time and trap speeds be. Im really curious to know before I head out to the track once I get this setup installed

Also, what will be my quarter mile time and trap speed w/ a stage 2.5 Protune.

Also, I know that the times and trap speeds will differ from driver to driver depending on driving skills and conditions, but I want to know what the most achievable times and trap speeds are with this setup considering that the driver is flawless and conditions are very good and the track is at a low altitude, etc.

Thank you for your time

A real help to this very relative quiestion is "what are you running at stage 2 levels?"

Lets say your only running low 14s at stage 2, you'll struggle to go bottom 13s with the vf turbo...see what I mean.

Good luck

realistically, with a 2.0 wrx and this setup, probably low 13's optimally

low 13's are optimal for a stock turbo setup, exhaust, and tune.

this setup should be good for high 12's all day if you can drive it.

realistically this will not happen...when i was stage 2 (i have 06 wrx) i was running 13.5/13.6's all day and the 2.0 stage 2 wrx's were running 13.8 and higher all day...stage 2 sti's with cobbs ots can run high 12's if driven really well...trust me, aim for low 13's when you go to the track...btw this was all close to sea level, the track was englishtown raceway in NJ

I didnt wanna make a thread for this but was curious,

How much power am I looking at w/ my 04 sti/2.5L? this will be a funny 1, just got the motor built, put back on all the stock parts to break it in, but didnt have my old turbo or tmic, so Im running wrx for those 2 things (td04/tmic) on top of that the td04/turbo its running off wastegate boost only, like 7-8 psi or whatever it is, I've been driving around now for 3k miles, watching people pass me left & right. Full boost is barely keeping up w traffic, it feels like 100whp & well over a 20 sec 1/4, can't wait to be up to 450+whp again

& btw OP, sorry to jack thread, but your set-up w/ vf39/sti tmic, inj, & fuel pump, should make about 300whp Im guessing on a protune, at the very least it will make what a stock sti makes w/ that off the shelf map 235-245whp, should make it a high 12 maybe 13, if it was pro-tuned I think you would hit low 12's cuz of the wrx being a tad lighter & the 5 speed tranny

realistic for you might be different than realistic for me, or for the OP. my first trip to the track with a bone stock '02 wrx yielded a 14.1 @93. the same car but vf+tmic setup (270whp) went 12.9@104 with a passenger and stereo.

cobb stage two STi's ought to run high 12's, sure... but then again so can a stock STi, if driven "really well"

just food for thought, not everybody babies their car at the drag strip

Depends. How much do you want to abuse your transmission? For the average driver probably low'ish 13's with a "spirited" launch.
