Default GD coilovers in a GC body?

I have a '93 Impreza L that I am currently doing a full STi swap on (using an '07 donor car). My question is how will the stock '07 strut length compare to the '93 struts? Will they be too long, too short or just right?

I am building this for SCCA SM and NASA TTS use so I need to order a new set of AST double adjustable coilovers and I need to know what lengths to get.

Thanks,

-Paul

Length will not be your problem, the brackets that bolt to the knuckles ( fronts ) & the 3 holes in the top will need to be modified ( rears)
It can be done.
I'm running a set of 05 STi struts w/ JDM pinks in my swapped 93 L

The suspension is from an '07 STi so the later 5x114.3 is correct ('05-'07 STi).

I already have Vorshlag camber plates so I don't need to worry about topmounts either.

I need to order AST double adjustable coilovers and I want to make sure I am getting the correct coilover length. I am lowering the car quite a bit so I need shorter bodies, 1.5" shorter front and if the rear GC8 length is the same as the rear STi length then that would be 1.5" shorter also. If it is not the same then I need to determine how it differs from the STi version.

Thanks,

-Paul

Just order GC coils with the STi lowers to attach to the STi knuckles. Other than that you can always just use the stock stuff and replace the top hats with GC camber plates and bammo! Done. The later is what I'm doing with mine till I find a coilover I really will feel comfortalbe with for my use and setup. GL with your conversion.

What I am trying to accomplish is to lower the car and still have the correct travel range for the strut body length I order. A stock rear GC length is too long, this I know. I do not know what the GD length is relative to the GC length... yet.

I think at this point I will just purchase some used '05-'07 STi struts and measure the stock range and ride height.
