i have heard it might get pushed back a little...since the RR technically does work on the 18 models (just no TPMS) while it is a nice feature to have, it isnt imperitive at this point. I wouldnt rule anything out for CES though yet

The pioneer side seems to be missing the pink wire unless I’m just missing it. All are connected except a yellow and black wire and a plain blue wire. On the diagram it says for radio wire but I’m just not getting it haha

Where do I connect the STARLINK (brown) wire? That might be the solution to what I posted in the other thread. It says pink or white/blue. Since I don’t have the SOS what blue/white is it referring to?

if you dont have the SOS button, you dont need to hook up the starlink wire.

Gotcha! For the 2018 premium what do I need to switch in order to be able to make the gauges work? Or will a flash be available in the near future that would fix it?

i posted in another thread about the BCM location for can if you dont have telematics. If you dont want to get to the bcm, you can get can going to the upper display as well. Also having the correct can also allows the camera to work. WINK WINK

okay, and the 7" is the same as the 6.2" when talking about the harness?

Default 2018 wrx premium

After doing a lot of looking at diagrams then looking in the car the 2018 wrx premium without the nav and hk is super difficult to get to the CAN wires and with no telematics there's no harness. If you tapped into the CAN High and CAN low at the ECM would it work?

Those of you that have installed an RR into an 18+, are the instructions the same as the 17 and earlier models? Just asking because their site doesn't list it as being supported for 18+ and hence they don't supply any installation instructions.

Does the SU2 wiring harness still work? And are 2020 cars supported?

Planning on trading an MY16 wrx limited for an MY20 limited in the spring so starting to plan now. I see no support for the past couple of years with the maestro rr or rr2. Is there going to be support soon for the rr2?

Yes and yes su2 plus to2 for 1 antenna cable. I started herehttps://www.reddit.com/r/SubaruFores...dunit_install/ and finished here at this site. I updated my 2018 Premium with a Kenwood 9904s. CarPlay works iPhone. Cavate no TPMS GAUGE although I can go to gauge for volts. Hence the new Rr2 has an extra uart to access those. The instructions I used t-taps at can hi and can lo.

Starting to procure items in anticipation of an MY20 with a Kenwood dnx996xr. Does anyone have any more inside info of support for the maestro rr2? From what it looks like an su3 harness is in the works. There are obviously a lot of people ***65533;***65533;***65533;***65533;****9794;***65039;

Looks like we just have to wait.

I remember the beta program for my 2013 VW GTI, and well, it was worth the wait then. I just have to suffer with the buggy USB port in my car until then since my dealership can't replicate the problem... Naturally, they blamed my cable, but that wasn't the case since I also lose my memory stick with MP3s when the USB wigs out.

so when is the maestro RR2 support and harness going to be ready and released? I was reading and from what I saw april 2019 release, and then summer 2019 came and went. the 2018 models were available in 2017; which is now 3 models years without support.

Default RR/RR2 isues

All,

Just got mine and tried to install. The firmware works except for one issue...the head unit won't turn off with the key. Anyone else finding this?

On a RR1, mine does not turn off with the key either. It turns off as soon as I open the door with the key out of the ignition. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but it isn't a deal breaker. Haven't found a way to disable this "Feature".
