Default Going to Philly for a weekend to see the Red Sox play, what ELSE to see while there?

Round trip airfare is $78.00 a person and Philly's Sox tickets are cheap and easy to get, so I am all over it!

What else should I take the girlfriend to see while I am there, I have never been before..... Thanks!

I remember going to a sweet aquarium as a kid, but I was a kid and I'm not even sure if iot was in Philly, I think I took a boat that was kinda cool.

Also look up a place called Denardo's (sp), the best crabs I ever had. (no OT jokes )

Philadelphia art museum is very nice,
the zoo is pretty nice, historical district, south street, penn's landing (right next to historical district), franklin institute, eastern state penitentiary.

Honestly though, when I went to Philadelphia, I think the most exciting thing was walking drunk with my buddies from 50th street on (til 60th, or even past that, think) at midnight (past UPENN). Now that was some scary stuff.

pretty much what wergild mentioned. just whatever you do, make sure you get directions ahead of time! i swear i've been to philly 100 times in my life, and i've gotten lost each and every time. i-76 is particularly hilarious. you know how when you get off a highway, you can normally get right back on going either direction? well, if you get off 76, know where you're going. there are parts of i-76 where you get off and don't even see another sign for it.

so yea, get good directions before you plan out your day. you don't want to end up driving around dark alleys in south philly.
