Default Project Charlise. my 05 sti gt35r twinscroll build thread.

Ive never done one of these before so i guess ill start with my name. My name is Igor and im from ontario canada .

Anyways it all started when i bought my 04 obp sti out of Vegas back in 08.

[IMG][/IMG]

Pretty much all stock, but for me at the time it was absolutely amazing compared to me 2 door honda civic haha.

Any ways one day i met up with some other local Subaru guys for the first time. after mr Yz, (some of you guys might know him) took me for a ride in his modded 04 sti i was a changed man. I had to go faster! sooo i started modding the ol girl.

started off with getting some stuff
fp green
gt spec el headers
up pipe
tial 44mm ewg
grimmspeed three port ebc
gimmic fmic
turbo xs bov
walbro fuel pump
dw 850cc injectors
aps solid inlet
aps 70mm big maf intake
tgv deletes
hks hi power exhaust
invidea dp
and some other small stuff i cant remember.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

And then it came time to up grade, well by up grade i mean buy a car only a year younger haha. BOOM! here she is the day i brought her back from New YORK.

[IMG][/IMG]

This is Charlise. first thing first was to get the body in order, i got her pretty banged up. but nothing i couldn't fix my self. she was going to get a built engine, rotated turbo and a paint job

At first my budget for the motor was 3.500 haha that quickly went out the window when i started looking at parts that i could afford and what i wanted.

so here we go the build.

It's okay, I messed up my first time too. Yes, they are all up now and it looks great! The only thing I don't like is that tint. Personally I think tint should only be grey/black Clean car regardless!

picking up where i left off with a couple pics. this is when i was replacing the front end and stuff.

[IMG][/IMG]
it took me some time to get it fixed up because i was so busy but it started looking like a car again

[IMG][/IMG]

then i had to do some repairs to the dccd. While i was at it i figured i would try and get rid of the small rattles and squeaks. this was fun.

[IMG][/IMG]

I installed a oem roof vane that i bought from a guy in toronto off of his 06. did a pretty good job i think. you can see it here next to my 04 that i was doing a safety on.

[IMG][/IMG]

more to come .

The next thing that arrived were my wheels nothing special but at the time they had just came out and not too many people on nasioc had them let alone my city. just your basic xxr 527's 18x9.75, wrapped in 245/40/18 toyo proxes 4s.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

at the time the plan was to tuck these bad boys under my stock fenders... after i put one on i quickly realized this was not going to happen. SOOO again i looked around and found the karlton flares. but at the time they weren't as common haha, i just waited too long to put them on and by the time i did they were everywhere.

I had them picked up by my parents on their vacation to cali haha. anyways this is what i had to work with.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

stay tuned.

I can appreciate the work but those wheels fit under stock fenders.

Also, why run such small tires on 9.75s AND run flares?

yea they would fit but with tons of camber and i dont really like that look. when i bought the tires i was planning on putting them under stock fenders. over the winter im looking at getting some 265 18x10.5s. the flares were my solution to the problem now my wheels are too small haha.

next thing that came in was suspension, i went with bc coilovers that i got off of a buddy for a good price.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

next step was to cut the fenders and make a little lip to better fill the gap between the flares and fenders.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

finishing up the under flare lip i guess.

[IMG][/IMG]

[IMG][/IMG]

I did some work to the stock front bumper. added some panels to the sides to stop air from passing my fmic.

[IMG][/IMG]

heres the bumper on with the fmic test fitted and the car sanded ready for paint.

ok so here are the pics painting the car, i ended up sticking with the stock color just a little bit darker. its one of the reasons why i bought this car. I got tired of black and how dirty it got so i wanted grey. And i always liked the look of a black roof so i added some metallic to some black i had had a go at it. anyways..

[IMG][/IMG]

yes those are screws holding the flares out haha, had to think of something my booth isnt that bog to set up hangers or tables.
