I went to Grand and they didn't even acknowledge me. I got tired of just standing around. I even went to Napaleton in Schaumburg and they weren't much help either. So far Roto has been really good when it comes to customer service.

That also made me think, is there noticeable difference in times between SOA an SNE? Also, am I correct in assuming inland states take a bit longer than coastal states?

I think we can both agree Napleton sucks big time. When I first went there they were telling me everything I wanted to hear. Awesome right? Well turns out it was all a big lie. And other people that have ordered their cars from there, they actually deliver cancelled orders or just bring over transfers so the customers aren't actually getting he exact car they ordered. So I didn't bother calling them back. It took awhile for someone to help me at Grand as well but that's cuz they were all busy which is understandable. They didn't force anything upon me and everything went smooth. I still have to go back of course once the car comes to sign my life away and all that good stuff. What town do you live in? Maybe well cross eachothers paths

I originally went to Napleton cause they said they had a 2013 WRB STI which I was excited so I didn't have to order a car but after getting there I find out it's a hatchback when I was really thinking of a sedan. They said it was a ordered car that was cancelled. They still have that car too. I live in Norridge/Harwood Heights but work in Glenview area and I'm sometimes around the Mount Prospect area since that's where my mom lives and my closest friends.

Go with the hatch!!!!!!! The insurance is such a drop in price, plus they got a nice fat a** haha just my opinion. The sedans looked too stretched out for me, like they shouldn't have that rear quarter window. Otherwise I would have went with that instead, since I'm coming from an 06 wrb sti. I live in the Bartlett area but work out of des plaines so it's a little bit of a drive everyday. I could have gotten a 2013 sti hatch right then and there the day I ordered, but it had 5k miles already and it was in obsidian black crystal or whatever the new black color is. It looked super nice but I said I wanted a white one and I stuck to it.

So I've been stalking this thread and forum since December when I ordered a PBS STi 5 door limited with nav, exhaust, short throw shifter, home link, fog lights, boost gauge, and I finally registered today. So this coming Tuesday puts me at 13 weeks on the dot of waiting. I haven't received a VIN or a solid eta as of now. I did pay my dealer a little visit on Monday, he showed me his computer with my allocation, as well as the next two he had already received since receiving mine. I was playing it cool as to not give him the impression I was worried, as I have been quite patient, and I even noted that I wasn't worried ( who am i kidding, of course I am), and he responded that he was actually concerned that we haven't received a VIN yet. What is y'all's take on my situation. Happy waiting!

Ordered mine in January, still no VIN as well. However I have not contacted my dealer about it yet.

Next Tuesday will be week 7 for me so I'm not worried at all at the moment. My dealer was really straightforward with me and told me four months was normally what I could expect. He told me he had seen as quick as six weeks and as long as six months, but four months was really the average.

I was extremely lucky to find this one enroute and unclaimed with the exact specs I wanted. Will get more pics when I actually take it.

Definitely! Im in Colorado so it'll be a race how our cars start arriving from the west, mountains, midwest & you guys on the east coast getting yours last. Since your ride takes the scenic tour through the Panama Canal.

Hey guys, just got my '13 SWP STI. Got pretty lucky. Although I have to say, the wait between the estimated arrival date and the actual arrival date felt longer than the entire month, haha.

Ordered: 2/9/2013
Estimated Arrival: 3/4/2013
Actual Arrival: 3/14/2013

Just to add to the Subaru unpredicatability, I got my vin ~6 weeks in and then ETA is 6-8 weeks+

Sometimes people get lucky and find unclaimed cars that are already state side or being shipped. If what you ordered is already all claimed then you have to wait for them to make yours.

I originally ordered my sti with an eta of may, because the dealer couldn't find anything similar in the region. But, with a little bit of luck I ended up finding an sti being delivered to a nearby state with an eta of march. Now its sitting on the lot waiting for me.
