Default STi swap in a Baja...?

Ive done some looking around on the subject but seeing as the Baja isnt a very popular car (another reason I love it) I was wondering if its even possible. I may be young but Ive got money to blow and a great income so blowing money isnt that big of a deal. I really just want to have an STi engine in a baja with a few other mods because its like true underdog/ dont judge a book by its cover type thing.

Any opinions, sources, links are all greatly welcomed.

Yes it's possible. If you get a 2004 Sti ecu and a 2004 Baja it should be a drop in affair.

To run the Sti tranny you will need a Baja(or 00-04 legacy/outback) auto transmission driveshaft and either a R180 with a R160 flange on it and spec B axles w/ baja outer joints or just run a R160 matching rear diff and stock axles(much easier and cheaper).

Quicker to swap in an STi motor & get a TurboXS Utec Delta.

Then, If you REALLY have the cash to blow, throw a PPG gearset in the trans. That's what I did

My build is HERE. http://www.area1320.com/custrides/10rob06.html

Youtube "Area1320 Baja"

I'll help you out with any info you need
