I'm installing my SPT intake and there are these bolts with the # 7 on the top of them. I need to buy the correct size socket for this. What size is this?

Thanks

Eric

#7 doesn't indicate bolt size or thread pitch.

Take it to the local Autozone or Sears or (equivilant) and try the bolt in different socket sizes (metric I would assume).

Cheers!

probably 11mm or 13mm. Hard to tell without looking at it.

just buy a complete socket set (you'll need 'em eventually) and then see what fits.

The SPT intake has common sized metrics, I believe they are 10 or 12 mm. A small inexpensive metric set is good enough for this install. If you dont alreadys have tools.
Good luck

everyone. It was a 12mm. Te closest thing was at auto zone and I needed to get going so I bought some crap from there to do the job. I will be investing in quality lifetime snap on or craftsman soon. PS: The intake is niiiiiiiiice.

After reading your reply this sounds like the first mod you have done, and you completed it, so congrats on that.

Yup, first time I wrenched on the beast on my own. Not anything big but felt pretty good.
