Unhappy Help!

Alright so I took off my tmic to install a gauge (which was broken anyways) and now as I'm trying to put it back on the Y-Pipe won't reconnect to the turbo inlet.

Is there a special way of putting it back on?
Or am I just a tard?

Flame Suit on.

I assume this is a stock TMIC with the stock hoses? If so, there should be a sort of tab on the inlet hose that you can grab and pull the hose on. Or get some in there that you can get against that tab to help pry it on. Good luck.

Dont use lube; just pull the tmic towards the left side of the engine bay from underneath and ur gonna have to hold it there and tighten the clamp on the turbo inlet at the same time...itll take some power, if u got a helping hand u can pull it on there while the other person tightens it on the turbo

On my old 05 I always used to use a real long socket extension to stick down against the block and help push the y-pipe back on using that tab and the leverage from the extension. It was always a pain but after you do it a couple times it becomes second nature.

you put that one on first and then put the big one on up top be glad its not an sti or bigger they are a lot harder than a wrx one. i never had that much luck trying to pry that one on when you have the bigger hose on. i've taken my ic on and off and the sti one like 50x i really want to go to a fmic but that will prob suck too bec you would have to take giant pipes off but at least you could check trans fluid.
