So it's been 4 weeks and 2 days. I called SOA, and they didn't have any updates for me except to say that mine is still "Ordered." Not the answer that I was hoping for, but at least I'm not on "Hold" like a lot of you on here.

WRB base hatch with STS and fogs
ordered: 10/3
VON: 10/3
VIN: ...nope
ETA: ...nope

Not just picking them up AND selling it to them below invoice. It's been said many times in past weeks that SDC and SNE have different procedures in the way orders are done; so, to call them ridiculous is not fair nor accurate.
You kinda shot yourself in the foot there with that argument though. If Heuberger will pay for your airfare AND give you under invoice, why would you stick with SNE?

May be you got lucky since you ordered early october so you weren't affected by that 4 months wait period. your 1 month anniversary is coming up man!!

That's what I'm banking on! Haha. I was so disappointed when I saw that Subaru had put out that announcement. But I asked the person I was talking to if she knew anything about that wait period, and she said she hasn't heard anything about Subaru saying it'll take four months. Soo...who knows what will happen lol.

so beside the heated seats, the moon roofs, and the fogs light (which can be install ) are there any other different about the base wrx vs the premium hatch? Like interior material and what not? I think I can live without heated seats and moonroof (which I never use on my current car) and then add on the fog lights.

Premium Adds to Base:
Fog Lights
All Weather Package
--Heated Seats
--Heated Side Mirrors
--Heated Wipers
Moonroof

Limited Adds to Premium:
HID Headlamps
Leather Seats

No change in materials. I still have cheap plastic dash, but I don't feel up my dash like auto reviewers so I don't really care

I personally went with Premium as I'm a frequent moonroof user (I'll even use it in light rain or when it's 20*F out). The heated mirrors and wipers were selling points to me as it's street parked in PA winters.

Also make no mistake, from a practical standpoint the Fogs are WORTHLESS. They add an impressive amount of light directly in front of the car (when viewed from outside of the cabin), but from the behind the wheel perspective, there's nearly zero difference visible. It's all about style points

Not sure how many times they have done it. I am sure it isn't all the time, and I don't think it would really be worth it for someone in SNE. Todays gas prices driving back and they would surely have to stop at a hotel. Then food for those 2 to 3 days and taking off work. I am sure some people could and would, but I doubt that many.

I am not at a SNE dealer, but we have sent a few customers to Heuberger. They have helped us in the past(even though they are soo far away); so, we didn't mind helping them out(like our few customers really helped them out). There are 6 or 7 dealers up in that area that all sell loads of Subarus even with them within an hour drive, so...

I don't really look at it as shooting myself in the foot.

Sorry if you've already answered this, but what's your take on the WRX's on HOLD? Is it just a Navigation thing? I know there's at least 3 of us Nav orders here on HOLD ranging in order dates from 8/15, 09/08 (mine) and October.

i called SOA today, only information they have is that the order is in. No "hold" notes or anything else.

He said if the dealer is telling me 6-8 weeks it will more then likely be 6-8 weeks because I dont have any options being installed on the base. Only exhaust and short shifter which are done at the dealership

It is not just heated seats, rather a full "Cold Weather Package" that includes heated outside mirrors and a heater in the bottom of the front windshield that keeps ice from forming on the front wipers.

That alone is worth it to me lol.

Also, if you're talking 4 door the spoiler comes standard instead of optional on the base.

It is not just Navi models. They are putting orders on hold until they can straighten out allocations and check a bunch of dealers they think are putting in fake orders.

There will be more info in about 8-10 days and I am being told that there are several boats about to leave Japan and they are waiting on a run list of what they are.

This is MY take only.

I think they are just trying to keep up. WRX/STI are a small number of whats being built in Gunma. They have to build Foresters, Imprezas, XVs, XV Crosstreks, WRX/STIs, Legacys, Legacy wagons, Outbacks; pretty much everything besides the Tribeca there for the whole world.

With that said....

FHI decides what to build based off our sales. Not by the sold orders that make up such a small amount of the total sales(believe it or not). I wouldn't doubt the NAV thing though. I don't know the total number that are sold, but they have to make those NAVs for the Foresters and Imprezas(and now Crosstreks) also which obviously sell way more than WRX/STIs; so, perhaps it does take longer to make NAV equipped WRX/STIs.

Subaru has a good/bad problem right now with the amount of sales they have and the ability to keep up. I, personally, am anxious to find out what happens with Toyota and SIA. I think Toyota will stay though unfortunately.

Trying to help out the customer though.

Wish I could fake an order for one of those special edition WRX/STIs.

Just got a response from one of my offers - guy wants to sell me an STi for $42500 while giving me $15000 for my 2006 S2000.

I see their inventory of STi's lowest price being $35874. I didn't realize I was paying 20% tax.

Oops, my mistake, he'd be selling the car for $44000. Forgot to include the tax deduction for the trade in.

The contract to continue to build Camrys there. Would be nice for Subaru to "kick them out" so they could use that huge capacity to make Foresters, Imprezas, and Crosstreks there.

Doubt it though. Money in the pocket.

OOOOH dang Toyota GTFO people need their car built dammit lol. Man I'm kinda glad/sad at the same time that Subaru and especially WRX/STI are so popular now. Hopefully the WRX doesn't turn into another Civic Si or mustang v6.

Does the moonroof come on the hatch or is it sedan only?
