How much NVH is added with the subframe lockbolts and the race bushings? I have already applied Rammat to my whole trunk and back seat area of my car. I just want the clunk to stop and not add to many other noises.

Jeremy

It's really hard to say as noise is very subjective. There's a whole thread in the driveline area dedicated to this kit where you can see other opinions. if you can't find it let me know and I'll see if I can find the link for you.

no. There are a couple of holes in the rear subframe right above the axles that will lock the rear subframe to the chassis. Slide under the car, look the rear axles, and then look up at the subframe, and you'll see them. Once you see it you'll go "OOOOHHHHHHH!!!"

Yea I just got mine in today and i had no clue where they went but thank god it came with a picture on the instructions. It literally took me 2 minutes and i didn't need to lift the car. Nice difference though.

Bump for TIC because my rear end is now sexier...

Great little set of mods, took an hour to do the outriggers, diff mount bushings and the subframe bolts. No more "skipping" or "bucking" around tight low speed turns. There is a an increase in NVH, both with and without the subframe locked in. Mostly what I've noticed is gearbox noise. Sounds like a rally car now, more than ever. If you have any sound deadening in the rear it should be no big deal. My car has none. I actually have driven around for a couple days without the stereo on to check out the new sounds.

Whiteline suggests only using the lock bolts temporarly. I plan to put them in and leave them in. Is this a bad idea? I am on a stock tranny and am worried if I put the clunk killer in it will add more stress to the driveline. Am I better off having some play in the driveline to asorb shock?

Our official stance on this cannot and will not differ from what whiteline has suggested. Despite this it has been addressed many time in the driveline area. A search should reveal the answer.
